how about hatton take on baldomir and floyd take on tony and the winners fight each other for all the belts, plus floyd will still make his 8 mil.And we can see if hatton can take a punch from baldomir since collazo almost had him out.

I know it's an unpatriotic thing to say coming from a Brit but I think the Collazo fight unnerved Hatton and he's lost his bottle.Originally Posted by a4mrmarine

When Floyd suffered a similar fate at the hands of Castillo at lightweight there wasn't a hint of him moving back down again. Instead he gave Castillo a rematch, beat him convincingly and move onwards and upwards.
I get the feeling Ricky is not going to do that though.
No shame on him if he doesn't, I mean not many people are cut out to be multi division champions but I do think Hatton's status as a top p4p star is in jeopardy.
DLH talk about moving back to 147 only a few months back when Mosley also dropped back. Also he said he didn't care about belts. " I would rather fight for that ring belt" & " If you wanna look up who the champion is, then go to the ring magazine".Originally Posted by shza

I agree completely. I already don't think of him as a top p4p star. If he drops down, he should fight Castillo--if he beats Castillo, he makes my list.Originally Posted by bilbo
True he should drop back to 140, a Hatton/ Castillo fight would be huge.Originally Posted by shza

Oh man I almost forgot that this forum is heavily influenced by the cable networks full of their poster boy minipromoters. Thus they hate the man that makes Floyed look like a sissy.
Only an idiot or a pretty boy lover would be so blind as not to see that HBO is protecting certain fighters in order to milk them for all they are worth.
Professional boxing is all about risks and money and for a boxer to turn down 8 million dollars, a fellow champion who's been hounding him, and multi shouts from the fans is a case that will definately go down in the history books---Floyed was no Leonard, was no Ali, was no De la Hoya but Foyed was a protected primadonna.
Wow! I sure hope Baldomir gives Margarito this well diserved opportunity.
I would give Margarito props if he beat someone good. someone other then the C level opposition he has been facing , hell Margarito lost to a C+ fighter Danial Santos . I'm not sold yet, Margarito’s next fight is against a fighter with 9 losses. jeez, looks to me that Tony is one of those fighters that just pads the ole record and then thinks he is deserving somehow of the honor of fighting P4P the best fighter in the world. . Hell if he would beat a Zudah or Collozo, i could understand making a case . id would even settle for a Ben Tackie or Juan Lazcano then we can better gauge him. I always hear these excuses from Tony "nobody will fight me"… Shit wave that 8 million dollars at Joshua Clottey , or Paul Williams and see what happens. Ben Tackie is always on call, he aint going no where. Step up Anotnio and stop crying !Originally Posted by maracho
You make a good point but I am sticking with my suspicions and I also agree that Margarito should jump at williams and Clottey's public challenge. Yes, these two guys are a huge risk but they are only going to get better and they would be great preparation. Colazzo/Margarito would be great too.
I agree that Tony needs to step up but I disagree, you CANNOT call the guys he has beaten bums,I have gone through them a million times and am sick f talking about it. Also,he has 4 losses,WOW?!?! How many does Baldo or a Gatti heck even Judah have?> 3 of his losses came as a teen and 1 was on cuts in a fight he was winning against an 170 plus pounds guy! AND MARGARITO HAS CATEGORICALLY STATED THAT HE WILL NOT BE FIGHTING RIVERA!Originally Posted by Lords Gym
Once he does beat Clottey and hopefully Collazo,I want to hear what people say then! AND I DAM SURE WANT THIS FIGHT TO COME OFF!
Yeah there is talk of Margarito -vs- Clottey possible for Dec 2nd.. That would be fantstic !Originally Posted by The Game
That would be a great fight. Clotteys as tough as nails & Margarito has no dog in him.Originally Posted by Lords Gym

Personally, I want to see Margarito Baldo the most but Clottey would be a good fight too and I'd be disspointed if Tony did not win. He is ultra hungry for the big names so I want to see teh Tijuana Tornado leave behind a trail of destruction with Clottey,Quintana,Collazo and if Williams keeps running his mouth,Knock him TFO for good measure.
