We're much better off with the monarchy than we would be as a republic. Plus they add a bit of class to the country. It's not like we're overflowing with class in Britain, is it? Much better off with them than without them.

I think they literally add too much class to the system. There are families that have inherited their wealth from years of pillaging of resources of other peoples countries. Working class people cannot get jobs as lawyers, mp's and bankers. It stinks.

The Royal family do not add class. They represent all that should have been washed away by now. Master is right, Britain lacks class because of what the ruling elites have been perpetuating for the better part of the last 40 years. Social mobility is at an all time low. We are gradually moving back to serfdom and still the monarchy lords it over all.

Time for the pitchforks and to put them on Bonfires. Out with class and in with revolution.

I agree social mobility is rubbish but that's not the royal family's fault. The only major country with worse social mobility than Britain is America where they don't have a monarch. Countries like Sweden and Norway are top of the social mobility table and have monarchies. The system in Britain and America isn't going to change because we don't invest enough in education like the high social mobility countries do.

The reason why do not invest in education like the high social mobility countries do is because Turkey do not vote for Christmas, it will stop their children from getting the jobs they have lined up for them.

If the Queen was a patriotic Brit she would be with the occupy London types, but she isn't. She represents the status quo and readily endorses it. She's probably a nice old lady, but I don't care about that. I'm sure some nice people worked for the SS too.

That is a purile argument which you have clearly spent about two seconds constructing. She does more work in one year than you will probably do over a lifetime. In the real world your ridiculously short amount of hours worked, decent money earnt, whilst having your wife take responsibility for grown up things like bills, aligns you more with the fantasy image of Royalty you are imagining. Quite how being part of the occupy movement makes you Patriotic is beyond me. It is also laughable that you can sit in South Korea and lecture people on being a real Brit. You seem more out of touch than her Maj and come across as a far bigger and more spoilt Queen.

You get a reduction in the tax you pay due to the amount She makes in revenue for our country. As head of all the armed forces along with her work during the war, and the willing service of many of her children and relatives in the Falklands, Afghanistan etc there is not a lot more she could do to stand up for this country. Oh yes there is actually, she could spend countless days every year, despite being well passed retirement age, in representing this country abroad and at home. She kicks serious ass.

No, it is a perfectly logical argument.

I have done my share of grafting and living hard and have reached a stage where I can sit back and say what is mine is mine. I competed to get my job, the Queen certainly didn't. I pay taxes on my work, I do not take them. Furthermore what I earn is tiny in comparison to someone like the Queen. Her income is more on a par with a banker than an ordinary English person. I align myself with the ordinary Englishman, she can't. Lots of men let the wife organise the bills. It is hardly a Royalist characteristic. I cook my own meals 3 times a day and work. She doesn't.

I seem more spoilt, out of touch etc? What a lot of nonsense. I don't see how I am spoilt. I don't wear poncy crowns or specially designed clothes. I don't live in an assortment of palaces. I am a routine person, worrying about his declining standards of living like every other working man.

I also hate the argument that I cannot lecture on being a real Brit because I live overseas. I was born and raised as an Englishman and am the archetypal Englishman. Unlike the Queen I observe and state what I feel about the society I was raised in and return too sporadically (2 months this year).

Your also saying that she has power?? Well if she has power then she can disband the government and take control of England!!! Nope why do that when labour etc can bring taxes to pay for her maintenance and nice bullet proof choppers and mercs!!!!

Its the uniforms on people that is the biggest scam via state dealt self importance or group belonging. Straight away there are lines in the sand and who runs all the people who wish to wear them for good or other reason?

Yep someone living a fairytale with crowns and palaces guards and a sour history of deceit through their family.

All the same fuck them they deserve the live style, I wouldnt do it.

They do some good these days, Im all for the Queen remaining head of Australia, what the hell the whole planet is insane lets all run with it and see where it takes us. Tenn hup, forward hoe, weeee lets all march off into Her Satanic Majestys destiny.
