Being in Montreal won't do shit to help Bute, but the fans will probably burn a few cop cars once he gets knocked out again.
This would happen if the rematch was held in Vancouver!
Wrong. There are no boxing fans in Vancouver.

I actually thought he stunned Froch a couple of times with his power, not that it mattered in the end.

I hope Froch sparks him again in the rematch.

If Bute caught by one huge shot in the first round and never really recovered, then I could see a rematch.

Bute was holding on every time Froch landed a right hand or left hook. if he stays in the middle of the ring, the fight would have gone longer, but Froch was still going to stop him eventually.

If bute sticks to his gameplan and boxes behind the jab it will be a closer fight, but as soon as froch gets close and unloads his shots bute will start to crumble. Froch will stop him same as the 1st fight just abit later imo.

Bute is doing it out of pride, but a rematch after a beat down seldom goes well. He will likely get hurt and then stopped again.

I don't see the point. I would rather see Froch against different opponents. He doesn't have that long left.

Hmm, I still doubt that it will happen until it's official, don't think it's a wise move at all for Bute. On the upside it would be a perfect interlude to a rematch with Pascal in Montreal, if Froch would be willing to move up to 175 and fight twice away from home, that is. Not sure whether that would be a bigger payday than a Kessler rematch or not, but either would be a treat for fans. Carl has some really lucrative options now, hard to believe he's made such a fine career for himself.

Why would anybody want to see this?

You can already rewatch the fight on youtube.

Simon Brown knocked out Terry Norris in 4 and in the rematch Norris won by decision. I give Bute a decent shot and making the proper adjustments to make it interesting if they fight again.
Terry Norris lost fights because he didn't have much of a chin, but he was rarely outclasses before being knocked out, even against Julian Jackson he was doing fairly well.

Bute just got dominated in every facet, wasn't so much his chin as the fact he had no answer for what Froch was doing.

There's no point in this fight, Froch has Bute' number and it will likely have the same outcome. Bute needs to get some wins behind his belt and build his confidence up. Froch needs a Kessler rematch, that's more important to him than sparking Bute out again.

Don't think froch has a choice
It was in the initial contract that there was an immediate rematch
So if bute is wanting it am sure it has to happen

I hope Bute' team advice him to not go through with it. They seemed pretty certain they weren't looking for a rematch straight away and rightfully so, he got badly knocked out. Why would Bute want another beat down? This time in his hometown? It would ruin him even more if he went for a rematch because Froch would destroy him again.

When Froch got interviewed on SkySports News last week, he said something about an IBF rule that prevents someone that was stopped in a title fight from immediately challenging for the title again in their next fight. Anyone know if this rule is legit? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else when talking about the rematch clause here.

If Bute want's it Froch doesnt really have a choice in the matter.
I think it would be interesting to see how Froch goes for it without the crowd roaring him on and would be pretty suprised if Bute fought the same.
Will it change the outcome? Maybe not, but theres obvious adjusments he could make.

If that's true where does the rematch clause end? Its contracted to have a rematch but it wont happen after the next fight, or the next fight, or the next fight...

Never heard of that but you never know what clauses there are in place
I would of thought no matter the method of victory the rematch would still be a go er
Froch should still destroy him again probably later than the 5th
It wouldn't be a problem for froch to go to Canada to finish him once and for all as he's used to fighting away from home
