Who would think a major foot injury would effect a boxing match?
Who would think a major foot injury would effect a boxing match?
From what I saw, he moved backwards and twisted his foot close to the end of a round
but it was the type of twist that would not effect subsequent movement to evade the ineffective punches thrown by Manny P through most of the fight.
BALANCE, LEVERAGE, ACCURACY, SPEED and TIMING - Effective punching.
at the end of the 7th round, diaz(bradley's trainer) says: "your foot fucked up in the second round, you're now in the seventh. can you give me five more of these?"
i just can't believe he fought 10 rounds with a broken ankle.
it's a nice story to explain the shoulda-been loss tho.
Like 911. A big hoax. Never mind the facts. They only get in the way.
Didn't Charles Brewer fight Grahm with a break? Or was it sprained? Wasn't exactly Yuri Foreman on one leg vs Cotto I guess.
Pretty much. Its bullshit and damage control.
Bradley fought with a lot of heart and no doubt hurt at least one of his ankles, def rolled it pretty bad, but I find it quite hard to believe it was broken and he fought that way for the rest of the fight.
Derrick Jefferson and Michael Grant each twisted their knee in fights and the fight was essentially over right then and there. Same with Yuri Foreman he was dead in the water.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
He twisted an ankle. Broke his ankle? Haha, some people do talk some shit.
Torn ligaments in my ankle, was medically classifed as a sprained ankle.
Swollen to three times the normal size, and I could not walk on it, and struggled for months to walk normally.
So what drugs was Bradley taking for a broken ankle.
Come on manny why couldn't you stop Bradley?? I mean he had busted ankles and you couldn't beat him?? Manny is a fraud. He robbed Marquez and now it's happnd to him no one likes it
Its probably possible. Some small bone in the foot somewhere that you can still walk on but hurts alot at the time.
I just don't understand why Bradley didn't even try and win??
Bradley has never really been bruised on a fight. Much like Floyd. I congratulate him for having a great chin and the presence of mind to use a gameplan. He did not stuck to it the entire fight but was fortunate he did it at the last quarter or so of the fight. It helped when he definitely realized the truth that Pac's punches may not be heavy but are really hard and can cause you to sit on your ass or take your legs away.
I thought he was hurt more last night than when Kendall Holt clipped him. Against Holt, he did not saw the bomb Holt threw but immediately got up and again had the wits to go to a corner and take a knee to gather himself. Bradley is a smart fighter who needs adversity to perform at his best. I thought he was nuts when he was engaging with everything against Pacquiao. He may have gotten lucky that he wasn't hit by consecutive hard punches like the one's that hit Dela Hoya or Hatton because his equilibrium was obviously fucked up during the middle rounds, him holding up Pacquiao proves it.
I do think Pacquiao is fading physically but his body did not looked great like it used to. I believe that against fast fighters he should work on speed not power and that body looked like he trained for power. Bradley has a great great chin and legs. I can't say enough about it.
An empty can is always noisy.
