Truly gutted for Williams. Cant believe it. Been one of my favourite fighters since I got into boxing, same age as me. So sad. He's a serious fighter with a serious smile so hopefully those two things will stand him in very good stead for the big fight he has ahead.

Really sad news for boxing, if I was a pro and this happened to me I don't think I would ever get over it. Will show how much of a good character Williams is where he takes his life from here. Hope the boxing world makes place for him, it's so bad when stuff like this happens.

Check this quote out - "Williams said if he wasn't going to be boxing, he's going to be a stand-up comedian."

This is heartbreaking, motorcycle accidents have taken some great fighters from us...hopefully Paul can live a normal life after this.

According to reports Williams' injuries to his spine are permanent, but it's almost standard procedure by doctors to tell someone who's had a severe spinal injury that they may never walk again. While it's safe to say Williams won't ever be able to box professionally again, who knows about the walking part, surgery and personal determination can do wonders.

Yeah, he's lucky to be alive. I ride... This sounds like the dreaded left turn scenario. A car turns left across your path and doesn't see you (most motorists look for cars not bikes) He probably avoided t-boning it by swerving around it, locked up the front brake and high sided. Most of the time hitting the car will still send you over and kill you. I choose to look at it as a sign. Maybe Paul had done all he could in the ring and he needed to use his brain and hands for something of greater importance. Time will tell. Get well, champ...
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Dreadful news, very saddening to hear. Feel for him and his family.

Really sad to hear. Remember Gary Mason was killed on a motorbike too.

Reading the article things sound a little less bleak than they did before when it sounded like the doctors were certain he would never walk again, now it sounds like there may be a glimmer of hope. Hopefully he regains at least some lower body movement so he is not tied to a chair...
