Sheps as soon as i read your post i knew you were gonna get flamed for saying these people are not hero's. Its frankly f*cking insensitive and an insult to the firemans families they left behind. Words fail me. They were hero's in every sense of the word.Just turning up to do that job every day makes them a hero in my book. I only hope someone connected to the firemans families doesn't have to hear your rant because if it was me and i knew one of the fireman i would break your little f*cking arms.

Sometimes you come out with such utter bullsh*t it really amazes me.

Exactly, the job in it's self is heroic. I know two fire fighters very well, if running into one of the world's largest skyscrapers which is most likely going to collapse any minute isn't heroic then I'd love to know what it makes the two fire fighters I know, who frankly do something Heroic every day by clocking on...

you guys are way to Americanised then if you believe that what every little thing people do makes them a Hero.

We obviously dont have the same point of view, and how the fuck is it insensitive to say they wernt heros? Come on now, get real, I dunno, say a guy runs into a building on fire anf carries out two people, hes a hero. The Firemen that died in 9/11 were brave at the best.

You guys must love your CNN.

And im talking in the context of the film, they are totally over dramatized, like in every American film about a real life story.

(Lmao i should get banned because i dont see eye to eye with other people? This isn't Nazi germany. "OMG DID HE SAY THEY WERNT HEROS?! BAN HIM!" its not as if i fucking said anything offensive, get off your high fucking horse.)

Like I said, I'm sure the film is awful and over done... I won't debate that.

I don't see how running into millions of tonnes of steel and concrete which is inevitably going to come crashing down at any minute to save people is 'brave at best' how exactly do you define Heroism?...

Courage... over coming fear, putting your life at extreme risk for the good of a stranger?

And no... rescuing a cat out of a tree is not heroic... do you have any idea what a fire fighter that works in a city, particually one the size of somewhere such as new york will have to deal with in the space of a week?...

And I'm glad that the only brave firemen are the dead ones... I think you're a bit confused as to what courage actually is.

And no, you shouldn't be banned, you should learn not to open your mouth and speak about things that you are totally ignorant of...

Grow a spine and try and learn some respect.

Me personally, I am more concerned over the millions of brain washed extremists and the civilians in these areas who glorify the people who attacked the towers and see them as courageous heroes, when they are, in fact brainwashed, weak minded cowards.

I find those millions of people with a completely inverted view of the truth a lot more worrying than one American film director who has exaggerated the truth simply because it sells at the box office as opposed to an oil baron brain washing 'a flock' through twisting religion to keep those 'western pig's off his oil'...

I also find it worrying that you either want to the trouble of downloading a pirated feature length film or actually paid money to see something for the sake of having something anti American to whinge on about.

edit: I agree Munky... like I said it's blatant flame bait... far too many holes/lack of an actual thought an argument to be anything else...

I don't think Saddo should ban him on account of the 9/11 comment, but because every little thing he posts is this useless bitter provocative puke (much like Royal). But I don't think he's deliberately trying to be an arse as munky says, but moreso it's impulsive. I know exactly what that feels like wanting nothing more than to push other people's buttons, for me it came when I wasn't happy with my life or it's direction, but maybe Sheps is just a born cunt who knows. Like I said he's young dumb and full of virgin cum - /ban the ip address if you got half a brain Saddo

(We've all seen the WW2 films where the yanks win it all by themselves)

I just think its digusting, the simple fact is the firemen who went into that building were doing their job, they didnt know the towers were going to fall, it was, in the loosest sense, an every day situation for them. They were not hero's.
All I can say is I hope you were very very drunk when you posted that.
Beds, before I judge you forever on that idiotic post, I will choose to believe that you were platered, & just got lucky with your typing, as it doesn't have the typical drunken typos.

Why did you go bother to see it?
You weren't going to like it no matter what.
    wat ya on about beds

i aint posted on this subject
I meant, & still mean Sheps.

    Sorry beds.
    My bad, big time.
    to you

I was thinking 'Sheps' & typed 'beds'.

I guess it is just my stupid Americanism coming out, eh Sheps?

As a fireman for the past 8 years or so I can tell you that thoes blokes knew they were puting there lives in grave danger and they did not do it coz it was there job or they wanted to be heros they did it out of a sense of duty and knowing that if they did not do something there was nobody eles who could(or would).

Health and safty in the Britian has gone so crazy in the last few years that you cant be orderd into a house fire thats full of choking kids like in the years gone by.
If a fireman thinks its to hot or dangerous they can just say "no sorry its to hot I am not going in",and let the people die and there would be no come back.

But I have never known or heard of any fireman refusing to go into a fire where lives are in danger. If anything I have seen blokes having to be stopped from going into fires where all is lost.

I know at the end of the day its just a job but when lives are at risk we will break our own rules desined to protect us to try and save lives.

I will get off my soap box now.

It's an option for me... seeing where I can take my career in sports, nearly joined this year but the recuitment process takes ages and there were no recruitments happening.

It's gotta be more than just a job though, money is only worth so much Sheps... unless you are totally materialistic but how can you be? seeing as you hate 'Americanisation' so much?
