He'd hypnotize Lacy from the outside and sneak in counters and right hand leads . Jeff wouldnt be able to get out the way and id be impressed if he heard the final bell .

I agree, but seeing the beating he withstood against JC I don't see Hopkins knocking him out, plus Bernard clearly outboxed Tarver but it was nothing brutal, it was a technical display of masterful boxing.

None can do to Lacy what Joe did . That was a beating and a half .Not Tarver , Not Taylor and not B-hop . Bernard would defeat him mentally I reckon . Lacy showed alot of heart in that fight which may have ruined him but I guess time will tell . My best bet is that he wont have to take that kinda beating again as long as he avoids Calzaghe . I actually picked him to beat Joe and thought him and Taylor were the future of boxing after Floyd/Barrera/Winky etc. Who knows it may happen

There was alot of hype surrounding Lacy from day one. Luckily Calzaghe shut that down but alot of people in the U.S. expected great things from this kid. Did the U.K. fans see through all the Bullshit from the get go or did the hype fool you abit?

I have seen 21 Of Lacys fights, and i really dont think he was overated at all. If you watch his fights against reid and vanderpool, both world class opponents. He strategically broke em down and knocked em out in the later round. He could still beat calzaghe. It just wasnt his night on march 3rd.

I understand why people were saying he would KTFO of calzaghe. the guy is a powerhouse, one that calculates his moves, now thats a dangerous combo!

I will contradict myself from what i said before about him having an okay defense. I only just got his fights recently and after watching em, he did get hit quite abit, not that it bothered him. he should have some headmovement and more lighter on his feet. he can block pu nches well with his arms/hands.

i think Lacy would either beat hopkins SD or late TKO.
Hopkins chances are SD/UD. I dont see him ko'ing lacy or TKo'ing him.

just because u got alot of power dont mean anything personally he should lose some of that muscle and get some speed and headmovement if he could do that then who knows but if he stays at same style he wont beat big boys like hopkins calzaghe i really wish get some speed and headmovement because hes got good chin and that would really help him alot

I would throw my hand up on that one...but I was also in the mind set that Sturm would pose a threat to Hopkins.

Oh well...can't be right about everything...come to think of it...I can't be right about anything!

Did you see How Lacy got in close with Vanderpool and done him with uppercuts and made his legs like jelly. If Hopkins who i believe has a great chin, Took shots like that consecutively the ref will stop the fight!

totally agree lacy is too slow like i said in my post above he needs some speed and headmovement its no good having all that muscle if ur too slow and cant hit the other guy in boxing its better not to have all the muscles its better just to be solid

Hopkins is 100s of leagues above Vanderball, Roy Jones has a good dig on him and Tarver will hit harder than lacy simply because of weight... your chin doesn't increase an awful lot if at all if you move up two weight classes... not that it matters though... Tarver couldn't catch him and neither would Lacy.
