    Default joe mesi

looked on good old boxrec before, and i see he is fighting a 4 rounder on sat night. its against a bum so there is no way that he will lose. What is joe going to do fight bums? is his aim to get the best undeafted record for a heavyweight? its looking like he aint raising his game, so what is he going to do bumfight? or look for the harder fights? does he stand any chance against the higher oppostion anymore?

It's a bit distressing for a few reasons to watch Mesi's boxing career at present.

First and foremost becuase he probably shouldn't have one.

I think he intends to contend at some point but considering how he's lookng in the ring he probably should do a few bum fights as warmer uppers.

Hopefully, there will be no devastating lucky punches which do him harm. Hopefully also he'll come to the conclusion that he's not rising, and it's time to sell cars in Hamburg, NY.

It disguest me that the commision would even give Mesi a license...Not that I dislike mesi but F&^$ man the guy had bleeding on the brain and why take chances...He has money...He is intelligent...and still a young man capable of doing so many more things than just boxing...Why risk his life? I hope nothing ever happens to the guy in the ring but...I just dont think this is a good idea

Mesi's gotta realise he can't & shouldn't fight no more. I mean he looks terrible in the ring nowadays & it's extra dangerous for the man. I wish he'd give it up.

if you saw his last fight you would understand...

its as if he is just starting out, he lost almost all his skill

hes got a LONG way to go, and the guys he is going to fight wont be as overmatched as you would think, he needs about 15 more fights before he can begin to be what he was, he seriously looks like hes never been in a ring before and i remember him being impressive before everything went down

so basically he has no hope? and he wont be fighting on the top level? imo he should fight a good match and if he gets bummed hang up the gloves cos there is no point continuing

well, if he fights good oposition, it might not be gettin bummed, it might be getting killed...
If he is determined to come back then he should fight a bunch of bums to see if he can improve. a fight with any of the top 5 heavies in the division now would be fatal.

he NEEDS a few easy opponents before he would even be safe against a decent fighter, he just seems so unskilled at this point, maybee he needs to get his reflexes back on tap or something

also, there is a public access show on right now called 'THE REAL JEWS ARE BLACK' with these two black guys in some real flashy roes with hat things (i guess thier some type of jewish serimonial thing) and one is reading passages and the other is turning each passage into anti-gay and he is real into it, its entertaining... i just ho[pe richard christy is up and that thet take calls, theyre is a number on the screen but i think its for some church

Not really. He was bumping up against the lower tier of the top 12 HWs maybe and getting ready to find his permanent level.

He has never lost a fight but that was going to change had he stepped up any. There was plenty to respect him for but he'd not have been able to stand in against the bigger good heavyweights.

But because he was undefeated, good looking, intelligent, well-spoken, community-oriented - and brought boxing back to Buffalo, where folks were very enthusiastic about him - the myth was very easy to generate and maintain for a while.

I think he would have beaten Ruiz. He did stop DaVarryl Williamson in under a minute and Wladimer couldn't hurt him.
