"Klitschko" on HBO

Maybe this has already been discussed... and maybe it's a repeat of an old program.... but has anyone seen the "Klitschko" documentary on HBO? I caught the last half of it last night (it's a 2-hour program), and thought it's put together pretty well. A lot of history and behind-the-scenes of both brothers, as well as interviews with people related to the Klitschkos in some way. You get to see and hear their parents, as well as some words by a sober Larry Merchant, and other people that are associated to them in one way or another. They also show clips of some of their more notable fights (wins and losses). They even show closeups (ugh!) of Vitali's cut that prompted his fight against Lennox to be stopped. All in all a pretty good program.

I'm sure Lyle's got the Blu-Ray, Special Edition, Un-Cut, Commemorative DVD package already.

I've not seen it yet, but I will get around to it I am sure. I did read what Wlad & Vitali (and Lennox Lewis) said about Corrie Sanders, those guys are pure class.

That cut sure was nasty. I saw the doc before the Chad dawson Andre Ward bout. It's weird learning that Vitali was the bad boy of the two because I always viewed him as the more somber one.

Saw it, if you have HBO you can't avoid it. I have to say, it changed my opinion of the Klitschko brothers. If you get a chance to see it, you should.

I liked it especially the stuff about when they were younger, and also what some of the other fighters had to say about them.

I watched this documentary last night and would rate it as excellent, a must watch for boxing fans.

It was well done.

However, I think it was little bit too pro-Kiltschko. For instance, they completely gloss over Vitali's steroid scandal in the amateurs.

Also they changed up the dates of some fights for the sake of drama. For instance, the movie has the Lennox Lewis fight happening before Wlad was knocked out by Sanders, when in reality, the Wlad vs Sanders fight happened shortly before the Lewis fight.

But really, Im just nit picking. Definitely thumbs up, and worth watching
