Do you think you could start one Contender thread and post all things in there, that way people who havent seen it wont know already who is fighting etc. Would be very appreciated. CC for the person who starts this thread also....

Only on ITV4 at the moment - started Monday.

Couldn't watch it coz I always get interference on ITV4 on freeview

Stop cryin, you limeys get most of the PPV's for free! Plus the contender sucks for true boxing fans anyhow. They edit it so badly you can't fairly judge who won or lost which round. At least they do have some pretty good fighters this time round, except over half of em should not be fighting at 147, Ebo Elder as a Welter Weight??

i like it......although you are right about the editing it sucks......they should just show the fight like a normal boxing card.....

and anyone know why ebo vs juan diaz never came off weren't they going to fight?

I dunno why they never fought. I think an injury or somethin, seems like Elder was claimin Diaz pulled out and was duckin him or somethin. Would be a good fight though, both good volumne punchers with heart. Diaz would probably win it IMO, don't like him, but his chin seems a lil better than Elder's.

I happen to know an incredible amount of reliable information about Ebo Elder. I Was in Vegas when the fight was cancelled with Juan Diaz. Juan "claimed" to get as cut above his eve 3 days before the fight. Anyone who knows anything about boxing knows no fighter is sparring at that level 3 days before a fight. Also. Ebo repeatedly tried to get another match up and was pushed away repeatedly. You guys figure it out!!!! The next bout for Ebo was in his home town of Atlanta where he was out boxing an extremely talented #2 ranked fighter. I was there and I witnessed Ebo out box him and out point him in every capacity. Ebo did get caught with some good shots but out pointed 3 to 1. In the 10th or 11th round his arm got caught in the ropes and he received some straight punches that I don't think many fighters could have taken. I was there personally for many of his fights and I know first hand what this kid is capable of. If he could just get over some small things that are keeping him down he could definitely be a top champion. Anyone who has watched some of his fights knows he has a heart of a lion

Yeah there is no question about his heart, the Courtney Burton fight proved that. I just dunno why he has entered the contender and is fighting big welterweights on there. He is only a lightweight himself! I just don't see him beating the big guys of the show, but maybe. He is one of the most skilled on there no doubt.
