What froch needs to stop doing is that moving his shoulder up to his chin trying to be slick.
I think he realises now that he cant pull that stuff off and must stick to what hes good at.

Froch is going to have to give his belt up or face a fight that won't make him any money. Kessler and Ward are both beltholders with promoters who hate taking risks so Froch will have to travel to fight both guys. Unlikely he'll beat Kessler, a Danish ref and judges judging a Sauerland promotion and he takes another loss from a getting-better Ward. If he doesn't retire after that he could move up to 175 and fight Cleverly if he still has a belt.

Ward is a quality fighter who is under rated, Froch is raw but fearless and would beat anyone one else in the division, maybe a close fight with Kessler, but cannot see Froch beat Ward ever.

I disagree with the Kessler traveling bit there man. I say Kessler wouldn't have the least bit of a problem facing Froch in Nottingham. I believe the plan would be to hold that fight in Notts Forest Stadium. So much money on offer there, Kessler wouldn't get that kind of money ANYWHERE else.

Beating Ward would be another idea all together. On the day, anything can happen.

Carl looked great last night but Ward may still be out of reach

Id make Carl big favourite to beat Bute
    Kessler rematch is 50-50
Carl would be underdog vs Ward

Bute looks so Fragile and I think Carl would rip him to shreds in Canada. Carl and Kessler may come down to who has home advantage. Well matched. both warriors, both have good chins and as brave as they come.
Ward will only fight guys who agree to his demands in Oakland and brings no excitement either so I hope for the other two fights 1st.

My question is does Froch need Ward? He has two big money fights he can make without Ward.

True. But he will need to beat ward to be established as the best in the divison.

Who cares if he's the best in the division? At his age he needs to make as much money as he can. I don't want to see Froch become another Roy Jones or Evander Holyfield.

How can anyone not like Froch? The man comes to fight and can never be accused of ducking anyone. The only way he has a shot at beating Ward is by going for broke like he did against Bute and letting his hands go more often. I would love to see Bute fight Kessler and Froch fight the winner. War Froch

You dont have to become an evander or roy jones fella.
Know your limits when leaving the game.

Listen, froch has made loads of money and will make alot more.

If you asked him if he wants to leave the sport with a win over ward OR a win over kessler and bute again im sure his legacy would look better with ward on his cv.

Froch is a great fighter and love watching him in action as he fights all the best fighters and ducks no one.

Froch will want to leave the sport beating ward, but if not hes had a great career!

He seems to have developed his weird, uncomfortable looking style into a technique that lands really dangerous solid punches.

When watching the Mack fight, I thought for a moment in the second round he was going to be too quick for Froch, his jab too fast. But Froch's patient, then flurry style seems to work well.

He needs to go at Ward and pressure him, not try out box him. Stay out of range for a bit, then pressure for a while. Although I'm sure he thought he would do that last time and just got his confidence knocked when he couldn't connect with the first punch.

I'd love to see him beat Ward, would be one of my favourite ever boxing moments I'm sure.

He definately needs to pressure ward from early. Froch needs to go in there and go for the ko!
    Come on froch!
