    ross,
Price wants the Lonsdale belt, which he (and I) hold in high regard. Agreed the competition he has faced are dross, but who else can he fight? Fury ducked him and vacated, so that leaves very few options.
If Price is still fighting dross after that, I'll wade in and criticise. Until then, don't hate the player, hate the game.

You wont until Maloney bites the bullet and puts him in with anyone decent. His last few opponents have got progressively worse and its not by accident.

Like someone else has mentioned, he did get dropped alot in the amateurs but in the amateurs theres no journeymen bums to build a record against, its all fairly evenly matched. Price is learning nothing and his being hyped as the next big thing in the heavies is going to be an embarassment for British boxing to go along with the americans old saying of British heavies as "horizontal".

I have read an interview with Price and he is trying to rubbish rumours that his chin is bad by just passing it off as it was just in the amateurs, then he reels off some fights he got hurt in and I was surprised by how many he mentioned, he made it sound worse.

I can guarantee that Maloney is green with envy about how Furys team are able to test him against decent world rated opponents but hes stuck tentatively pitching Price against terrible, old, tired, British level journey men.

Oh and as for butterbean. Sexton wouldnt have got in to the 4th against him. I remember he came over and ruined Shane Woolas, a british fighter who wasnt great but he still did it quicker than anyone else, including a young Danny Williams.
Oh yeah man fury's chin compared to price's is iron, I mean he totally wasn't nearly decapitated by some non puncher with 5kos to his name...
Fury might not be Oliver McCall or Jake La Motta but his team are confident enough in his ability to test him against better opponents, than Sexton, Harrison and Skelton
Sexton, Harrison or Skelton are all capable even now of beating Fury. Not so sure Rogan or Maddalone were ever going to test Price and it would not take 12 rounds or a points decision for Price to take care of Johnson.

Justify fighting Martin Rogan?..... He beat Prices last 2 opponents years ago

Also, before you mention that Sexton beat Rogan, this is what im on about by Price fighting progressively worse opponents.
C'mon dude who had Rich Power, Nascimento and Pajkic fought? And saying Price's opposition getting worse, Fury went from Rich Power to a fighter with a negative record. I give him plenty of credit for Chisora because I din't think he'd win it but the others had padded, unproven records. At this stage, you can't say Fury is fighting world class opposition. Kevin Johnson has proved absolutely nothing at world level other than he can go 12 rounds as a punching bag that moves. I agree Price's last 2 opponents aren't great, but like you said, Fury fought Rogan after Price fought Sexton, and he fought Rogan after running from Price.

If Price and Fury do fight any time soon, I will bring this thread back up laughing my tits off because Fury will win. It wont be what people want to see because Fury is regarded as a clown who punches himself, with no power and no chin. He isnt the next coming of Tyson or Lewis but he will beat Price.

He is vastly more experienced now as a pro than Price and is still young enough that he is improving with each fight.

Who is the best opponent that Price has fought? There are probably at least 3 Fury opponents who could beat them comfortably.

And if they do fight and Price wins, no doubt you'll just pretend it didn't happen and go on a vendetta against some other fighter. You shameless troll.

    Argue, argue, argue... Gets boring.

Try and answer my last question and youll realise the shite that people are over rating Price against.

Dude think about what you're saying. Price is unproven. But so is Tyson Fury. Fury hasn't beaten anyone of note to get excited about, so you're saying people are overrating Price but you're overrating Fury in exactly the same way. I'm not saying Price has done this or that, I'm also not saying he would beat a Klitscko, I'm just saying I think he'd knock Fury out.

Exactly. Neither of them has done squat and I don't think anyone is saying that really. Price simply looks to have much better form imo. One should be able to go by more than who has been in with slightly less mediocre guys when speculating here.
