When exactly did a western power train, support or back UBL? For a brief period we held a common interest in the Soviet/Afghan war. The US supported the Muhj by giving money and supplies through a Pak ISI proxy and UBL supported them financially and largely by creating training camps and schools.

We provided stingers to the Muhj fighting in Afghanistan not to UBL. UBL probably heard some rounds fired in anger but his role predominantly was setting up training camps in Pakistan. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that US aid to the Muhjahedeen led to financial or material aid to AQ.

    Dia,
I just want to give you a brief response, which I hope you can understand:

I come from a U.S. military family, my father was highly decorated U.S.A.F, WWII veteran, myself, my wife, and both of my brothers are Vietnam era veterans. I've personally known many fine people who've served in many high level positions in the U.S. government, including, George W. Bush, his wife Laura and George's father, who I consider to be an American hero. (Both have homes here in Texas)

Yes, the American government has made mistakes, both foreign and domestic (believe it or not they're human), but to overlook the good the United States and it's people have done all over the globe and focus on the bad/"evil" is idiotic, and the only territory we've ever ask for, in foreign wars is enough land to bury our dead.

BTW, thanks for serving Charlie, and always remember that you've got brothers/sisters in arms, who've got your back. (even if you are an Aggie)

Some of you people are bizarre and certainly back on the pop. I am a relatively peaceful person and ideally would like people to get on with one another. Andre, has it about right. As usual we have some of the irate stooges jumping at me in a thread a thread about an arrest, but it was seemingly only intended as a pop at me. I have chosen a relatively peaceful life, I have certainly never contemplated the murder of American people and likewise I apply the same logic to all, whuch is something the could learn. It's just daft. I would contemplate headbutting someone who really got in my face, but that's nothing to do with politics or nationality. In the case of Victor Charlie, this is a man who signed up to follow elite orders in wars that I certainly feel strongly about. Just as I bear the risk of tripping over a chair, he deals with the risk of getting a bullet to his head. I don't will it to happen but it could and thus my sympathetic ears are largely lost as it is a poor decision to make IMO. You can disagree, fair enough.

I would prefer it if some of you would just get the brainwashed spiel out of your arses and to hold your nation to account. The leading terrorist state and the war on terror leads to more people disliking the US and has some doing something about it. Oh, shock horror! I don't begrudge them that. If I had lost people to the US military, I could see myself being more like a so called 'terrorist', but as things stand I am against absuses of power and the US, Britain and Israel are the leading global abusers of power.

It is nothing personal in how I really would like America to hold itself to the same rules as others and I apply to every state. Treat others as you wish to be treated in return. That is why I will never own a gun, hate gays, join the army or anything of that ilk. I don't want to hurt others and that is why I choose my path. That is my intellectual and moral freedom.

I am glad to see the 3rd stooge kept his cakehole quiet for once, but as for the other two, you can go and blow bullets up your arses for all I care as it is better to wish harm on ones self than to wish for or commit harm upon on another. Not that I am telling you to do so, Mars would slyly enjoy such an act anyway.

Apparently bin Laden's son-in-law Abu Ghaith hasn't been all that active as an al-Qaida terrorist since 9/11/2001, and the years prior to that. So you've gotta wonder how big of a fish he is for the U.S. Government and U.S. law enforcement.

"U.S. officials say Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, captured last month in Turkey and now in New York, has spent most of the last decade in Iran, in some sort of confinement."

I like how Kirkland uses fucking NewsOne "Breaking News for Black America" as a legit link...let me see here, that article says 1979, so the Jimmy Carter Administration created Bin Laden....well if there ever was a President to have his best intentions backfire it was Mr. Peanut.

What a legit website...I mean anyone that considers "Reverend" Al Sharpton a "Leader" has to be on the up & up.....RESIST WE MUCH! Fight the power!!!

Nothing, it is in reference to Dia and I's discussion on what constitutes backing and support to UBL and AQ.
