Good showing? He was a blanket on Steve and almost got stopped by a guy who cant crack an egg, was 6 inches shorter and 40 pounds lighter.
    But he won!!!

Look, everyone with an ounce of boxing intelligence expected Cunningham to out-box Fury and go the distance. Catching someone with a good shot is what it was- Cunningham can actually box!
Everyone Missed that. Cunningham has had one heavyweight fight. ONE. And he lost on cards to a former lt heavy and was 1-3 coming in with a 40 lb -.

Well.... I think Cunningham hits a little harder than that.

Regardless, he was leaning on Steve all night. Totally wore him out. The ref tried to stop most of the illegal roughhousing, but wasn't 100% effective. Steve still took a lot of elbows and forearms to the face.

One thing is sure: Wladimir can rest easy, 'cause that's yet another "giant" prospect that shouldn't be allowed to step into the ring with him. Which is disappointing to me personally, because I'm desperate for a big heavyweight who can give Wlad an honest challenge.

At least the fight was entertaining.
Pretty sure the ref was Cotton who should have retired half a decade prior to Cortez. He was lost.

Yeah, it was Cotton. Only good thing about him is that he's got the size to get in between giants like Fury. But he could've very well docked him a couple more points for elbowing, forearm shots, and putting his entire weight on Cunningham.

Did you REALLY expect Fury to out-box Cunningham? Did you REALLY expect Fury to catch Cunningham within 10 rounds? Did you REALLY

What I like is he is funny and just doesnt care what he says or does which is entertaining but his fights, although frustrating are fun to watch!

We arent watching a klitschko plod through 12 rounds, we are getting excitement and thats what weve all been wanting in the heavyweight division. Alot of people say when will we get another Tyson for the excitment, well I think be might be here

In all seriousness, hes just had an invaluable learning fight, havng to adjust against a tough world class opponent and beaten him in style and better than any other heavyweight currently would have.

Also, Hughie looks the real deal too!

He beat Cunningham, and he's one fight away from a Klitschko fight. At least he didn't stay down like David Price did in the second. He's not going to beat a Klitschko, but I think he'll win the final eliminator and get the shot.
not sure about that... if it is arreola that wins it and he is in good condition fury won't be able to lean on him and push him around as much as he did v cunningham.... old steve was looking very tired and old as the fight went on... mr fury could rough him up quite easily, I don't think he will be able to do that v arreola

Fury outboxing Cunningham? What dimension did that happen in? Are you mainlining a cocktail of absinthe and ketamine?

But he didn't get in between. He watched the fight instead. Ironically he has a history of shouting "stop" and is one of the last to use the phrase "punch and get out" but that was years ago. A bit sour this one.

Arreola wouldnt have the speed of hand to catch Tyson like Cunningham did.

Every freakshow needs a scalp. It was a matter of time for Steve. Fury is horrid.

He may have well cost Cunningham the fight. It wasn't just the knockdown in the 2nd round. Cunningham hurt him pretty bad with a straight right later in the fight. But Steve said so himself in the post-fight interview. Tyson did what a big man is supposed to do against a smaller man. Problem is, Cotton let him get away with too much crap.

Wow. A lot of hatred for Fury out there. He is taking the piss with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek ffs. He's fucking useless and will get lamped very soon. But I like him - entertainment for sure
