Are you mental? Body count of Watergate = 0, Benghazi = 4. Lying, coverups, overall incompetence. Also this happened during a Presidential race....I don't care so much about that but the truth about Benghazi needs to come out.

I think the CIA and the copious amount of security offices from your country operate around the world like a pseudo government. I also believe that the President regardless of stripes for the most part does not have a clue.
Not sure what being a lefty has to do with it whatever a lefty means in America. If I order a salad and a green tea I'm probably a Marxist.![]()
I don't really understand the use of moral relativism to absolve the President. Whether Bush did the right things or not is irrelevant to what the current President did or didn't know and when he reacted. While some of this is obviously partisan it is also clear that an epic failure in leadership happened that resulted in American's dying and that the administration did not want to be 100% forthright with an election at hand. If nothing else the President should have openly admitted that gross negligence led to a loss of life and people were being fired for it.

Every intelligence and military service in the US at their highest level creates a daily/weekly read book for their respective top leadership and the highlights of these books make it into the POTUS daily/weekly briefings. There is some real prestige for an analyst to create a product that makes it to the Presidents desk. If President Obama is clueless it isn't b/c the information isn't available.

Planes destroyed the very fabric on 911 under a President that had no clue. Innocent men, women and children are slaughtered in illegal wars and the world pays no attention but lets stop the earths rotation when a few Americans or Canadians get killed. According to some in American culture saying that alone makes me a card waiving communist. I think its naive to blame a President when something happens a world away. Its foreign policy not a specific President.
There is nothing legal or illegal about war. That entire phrase is laughable. Again Bush and 9/11 have nothing to do with what the current President knew/didn't know and did/didn't do to prevent or stop the attack at Benghazi. That is all a lot of non sequitar and distraction. I don't really care if the world is on pins and needles about the topic but I do care when my countrymen die out of negligence and I expect the leaders of my nation to be honest about mistakes and hold those responsible accountable.

Bush was negligent repeatedly on a massive scale. People drowned in his own country, as he nonchalantly flew over their heads, he rigged the vote that saw him elected, he lead countless Americans to their deaths, but of course that is not relevant. To the rest of the world this smells like a witch hunt. Obama takes out Bin Laden and the Republicans get butt hurt because it does not feed into their idea that he is a pansy. There were protests all over the middle east at the time of the Bhenghazi incident, due to many reasons and the rest of the world saw them. Dieing from smoke inhalation results in the same thing as being shot or blown up. The idea that Obama is personally responsible for the safety of every American on foreign soil or that he would stand to gain something by allowing them to die sounds like a desperate attempt to smear his name, orchestrated by dumb men like McCain who turned down opportunities to attend briefings on the actual events in Libya in order to start media campaigns attacking Obama. The rhetoric being employed by Republicans totally undermines everything they say. Sour grapes from big babies who care about nothing but power and not one jot about America.
Yes, Bush was a bad President can we now over 4 years since he left office talk about the current President on his own right. I did not say that the President is personally responsible for what happened in Benghazi and had the official statement been that it was a coordinated AQ attack that was successful do to negligent planning and reaction furthermore the responsible parties have been relieved of their jobs then we wouldn't be talking about this. I often tell my children that lying only makes it worse and my Soldiers that bad news doesn't get better with time. Someone should remind all of DC of this. If all you can offer in this discussion is to point to Bush and how Obama is not quite as bad then you are really just making Lyle's points for him.
