I could swap the names out on this and apply it to many fighters.

I can almost think of one, but Canelo hasn't lost yet.

Final warning, gentlemen. Keep that stuff out of the boxing threads.

Not if he's a PR. They tend to get knocked out during the record padding stage

Junior is a marketing tool that has been created to generate money off his dads fame. He does not have the desire or talent to sustain a world class career no matter how much the WBC bend their rules to ensure he remains a high profile player for their organisation. Frankly it is getting embarassing for them.

I don't know how I missed this but apparently Jr thinks that Martinez "is a bit talkative and lacks humility" and wants to fight Ward Or Golovkin Even allowing for mistranslation it's a bit rich coming from someone not exactly famous for showing respect

That is some quality rose tinted bullshit right there. Chavez went life or death with Matt Vanda and didn't do as well against Martinez as Macklin or Murray. Groves is better than both of them and he's still a prospect. Chavez isn't a massive puncher and considering Froch couldn't get Johnson out of there, how is Chavez gunna do it within 6 rounds?

I'd love to see him fight Ward.We all know there's less than zero chance that fight ever gets made. He's going to get handed Ward's 168 belt in a fight for the vacant title and the opponent will probably be Marco Antonio Rubio. Or maybe Manfredo.

Or how about Junior versus Froch. Ha ha.

Chavez was sick in that fight. He proved it in the rematch when he handled him with ease. Using that fight against him is like using Groves getting dropped by mediocre prospect Kenny Anderson against him

No body stops Froch, he may have his limitations but his chin is not one of them.

I didn't mean a drinking competition, I meant Chavez versus Froch in a boxing ring, with gloves on and everything.

Chavez would be hard pressed to beat Sakio Bika, let alone the #2 man at SMW. Jr. doesn't wanna play with the big boys thats why hes been starving himself down to 160, but it looks like time is about up for that game.
