word is that the Chuck vs Wanderlei has been cancelled. UFC and Pride couldn't come to an agreement. Not sure of the specifics.

It's just a money maker for the UFC. Dana White has very few big money fighters, plus there are only a few guys in each division that can challenge for the title. So he has to keep pitting certain guys against each other. If white was smart he'd have tito take a dive once in a while to keep the war going. Hell, they may as well have a tito-shamrock best of 7 and work it so it does go to 7. then let them slug it out for real.

Heard PJ won the first two rounds and then got beat in the end

BJ beat the stuffing out of Matt for two rounds, then messed up his rib taking Hughes back at the end of the second. Came out in the third and was pretty much unable to protect himself at all, and lost by TKO ref stoppage due to strikes.

They definately will, especially because this one was so controversial (with BJs possible rib problem) added to the fact that they're now 1-1 (Rubber Match time..woo).

However, Penn is 0-2 in the UFC since his return, so expect him to fight Diego sometime soon for number one contender (Right after Hughes v GSP if Hughes wins, or after Hughes' rematch if GSP wins...plus the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 4 will get a title shot against Matt/GSP).

So long story short, he'll definately get one, but he'll have to beat Diego or GSP first if Hughes wins, or he'll fight Hughes for the rubbermatch if he loses both the title defense AND his rematch vs GSP.

It's probably the fact that he's an arrogant dickhead that comes off as a "good ole countryboy" everybody. At a glance, he seems like just another guy, and really nice and friendly and everything. But he really is quite the dickhead. That's why I hate him so much
