After their first fight, Vic took on murderers row and Donaire beat a list of overmatched smaller men aside from Montiel. GO VIC!

Well and aside from Rigondeaux, but that's actually true. Vic has been in tougher since getting KO'ed there than Donaire has. Don't give Vic a lot of a chance in this though, but the last fight I saw of his was against Moreno.

This is just a warm up fight, nothing more. Nonito is coming back from a loss so he deserves a gimmie fight. Nobody should be complaining..

And he's reunited with his father..

That's a bit unfair. He had a very busy year and fought tough opposition, arce not withstanding. He just lost to a really good guy. You can't chastise a boxer for losing when he did his best. Its thinking like that that really prevents boxers from taking risks

You are probably right. I actually like Donaire. I always found him exciting to watch. I was a bit disappointed after his lost. Actually, I've just been annoyed in general after Mares lost and some of these BS calls. Hopefully Donaire will put on a good show.

Darchinyan is what 3 weight classes above his best? Terrible fight. He couldn't beat any of the top bantamweights. How is he gonna a beat one of the top Super Bantamweight? He's not. The only reason this fight is happening is cuz he beat Luis Del Valle. But that doesn't prove Vic is back. It just proves what many already knew. Del Valle was overrated garbage who couldn't handle an old, smaller fighter. I see this rematch ending even quicker than the first fight

if anyone wanted to use Darchinyan as a bounce back fight and it'd well make sense it'd be Mares, but it's a little to late for Donaire to be giving him the rematch, pointless really

I dont like Donaire but cut the guy some slack. How many fighters in history after a shit kicking come back to fight a guy this dangerous as a comeback fight? Same with Manny coming back after being ko'd against Rios. That is what brass is. The very thing we hang our hats on. Both men could have taken walks in this coddled market. Give them credit. Two guys that just happen to be from the same country that represent this phantom "p4p" many throw about. Neither is milking the comeback.

You actually think Darchinyan poses a danger?

To some degree for sure. Donaire was ridiculed. I'm not giving Donaire a pass and it looks a little in house but its not a walk in the park either. Most likely will not end like Chavez/Vera.

I agree. I don't think Darchinyan has any chance of going the distance.

Gimme fights and tuneup fights are bullshit fights. The only time a fighter has an excuse to "fight down" is after surgery or a long, long lay off.
Root hog, or die! That's boxing. Who the fuck wants to watch a gimme or tuneup fight?
The only gimme fights I will watch are Mayweather's, I really want to see Floyd get dumped on his ass someday. lol
