Hopkins needs to go down the path of the other thread i posted. Swerve Mayweather, be the alien and take on Stevenson/Bellew or Kovalev that's what needs to happen. That's where B hops legacy will be cemented if he could pull off a win against either one of those guys. I'd have hell more respect if that happened, then this bullshit. Floyd is going to fight at 147 and won't ever go past 154. I don't see that happening ever.

I'm going to go against the grain on this one, but I think Hop wins this one. Floyd is the only fighter of this generation that I place alongside Hop in terms of skill, n he is the more naturally gifted fighter. That being said, Floyd has never fought someone as cagey as Hop, nor someone as big. Big alone isn't enough against MM, as proven vs Baldo n Canelo. Hop has issues with fast, athletic, LARGE guys like Jermain Taylor, RJJ, Dawson, n Joe C. Floyd is fast enough, but Hop is cagey wnough n dirty enough to cut off the ring n make it an ugly match. Even a physical phenom like Floyd will wilt under that kind of match from such a larger match. Floyd will be extremely effective on the outside, as he is the faster fighter closer to his prime, but Hop has zero qualms with fighting dirty n slowing the pace down to an ugly/boring fight. I would watch it, n be impressed if Floyd won (which I don't think is out of the question), but I don't think it would be a great win for Hop considering the size difference. Floyd can still make 140, while Hop is really a 168 pounder who doesn't want to deal with a prime Ward (I don't blame him!). I do think Hop is an ATG, with only Floyd n Manny giving him competition for best of his generation.
