    Fraud!

That is one of the worst things ive ever heard Ricardo Mayorga be called ever!

You have the fucking cheek to call Mayorga a "fraud" but reference an absolute joke of a fighter in the same sentence?

Mayorga was a legit unified undisputed world champion! How many of those do we have?

    Fucking wash your mouth out!

Mayorga obviously doesnt have what he did but by fuck even the Mayorga that beat Vargas would beat Vera!
Forrest fight was a decade ago.. im obviously talking about the current mayorga and the joke he's been for the past few years...

When was the last time he backed up his words? He talks stupid shit and ends up getting his ass beat all the time. That to me is a clown and I stopped taking him seriously long time ago.

And the way he embarrsed boxing in mma was disgusting. Talking all that shit for nothing..

His acts are played out dude.. I hope he does face chavez so I could see him get beat to a pulp.
    Ok...

Mayorga gets good pay days when he does fight. How many legends has he fought just by talking his way there? He wants the big names, he gives them good fights. When has he been in a boring fight?

He's fought Andrew Lewis, Vernon Forrest, Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas, Felix Trinidad, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and gave every one of them a hard fight!

He has never embarrassed himself with his performances and given a few warm up fights he would be a perfect foil/keep busy fight for Pacquiao who is running out of options.

Realistically IF Mayorga is willing to rededicate himself and get in very good shape (which he won't) and have a couple of tune up fights (which he also won't) then he could give himself a 50/50 shot against James Kirkland and maybe Vanes Martiyosan.

Instead he will probably try to come back at 160 and jump right into a fight with Felix Sturm or something like that.

Mayorga was a an undisputed, unified champ and beat the best pound for pound fighter in the world. If he can string a few wi s together he still has a name and can still sell a fight.

The Klitschko's had to "dig up opponents" because nobody wanted to have to fight them. Povetkin was #1 contender how long? Wlad fights often because he's a professional boxer it is his occupation.

Ricardo Mayorga, amusing as he might be has not been a solid fighter recently. He's been a part timer, much like Haye and he's flirted with MMA....those are signs of someone not taking the sport seriously and he's just looking for a payday.
rahman was also wlads opponent because povetkin pulled out of that fight..

anyway I hope to see mayorga back on a big stage just for his press conference nonsense, he's well past it and overweight but he can be quite amusing... although the funniest part for me is he gets some middle aged to older person translating for him :S

Ah jeez, not this tired carnival shit again. Don't you have to at least be a quality fighter trying to make a 'comeback statement' to fight a Mayorga

Or have no big name options that sell while you tread water for Mayweather like Pacquaio?

Having Mayweather is the ultimate option for a guy still actually relevant in his division no? Mayorga doesn't want options these days for contention, he wants a paycheck and someone to take his picture.

The fight wont happen because Arrum wont let it. Who else out there is beatable, a big name and will offer value for money without falling over in a few rounds?

Mayorga now would last longer than Hatton did.

He's the right weight and current ability level for a Chavez opponent so it could happen.

Are you attempting to make a case for Mayweather-Mayorga?

    No!

That wont happen but Mayorga could well be dusted down and polished up with a few wins to become a Pacquiao opponent to fill time with a bg name that should be beatable.

If you took the Mayweather thing from me saying Mayorga now would last longer than Hatton. I mean Mayorga would last longer against Pacquaio than 2 rounds. Hes better value than that.

Who wants that? Brandon rios part II...no thanks. Mayorga hasn't had a meaningful win since Bush was in office and Hatton was retiring Kostya Tszyu

You might not want to see it but you arent Bob Arrum!

IF Mayorga strings together 2 or 3 wins, you know his name will be in the hat because it will sell. All Pacquiaos fans would want to see their fighter shut Mayorga up.

Uhh see the above about Bush being in office Ross, because that's also the last time Mayorga strung together 2 wins. He literally hasn't won consecutive fights since 2003, and you think he'll do that now and then fight Pacquiao? At welterweight? He's completely finished man, Chavez is the best retirement payday he can hope for.

Thats because hes never been given consecutive journeymen. Have a look at the names hes lost to.

This is true, but honestly Ross we both know he's done at the elite level and probably at the top contender level even.

If he'd do things right he could beat a couple of journeymen and then fight a name or for a title. History has shown us that won't be the case tho and he's just lookin for a payday.
