    Default Canelo vs. Angulo

Who you like in this fight? I think Canelo is in for a tough fight. I am still not convinced about Canelo's stamina. While Angulo is not a technician...he has VERY heavy hands and will push the pace of this fight.

Canelo will win, he is a very good fighter who will get better and better.

It could be a great fight, could be a blowout for Canelo imo. Either way he hits hard enough to hurt Angulo and won't have any trouble finding the openings, just depends what Angulo is able to soak up and give back. I think Alvarez is going to look great every time he fights someone who can't do anything on the back foot, he's a very dangerous guy to have to stand and fight.

Canelo will stop him. Not long since Angulo broke his orbital bone. Id say it will be stopped on swellings or something like that.

I have a feeling this will be a pretty one sided fight that ends in about 6-8 for Alvarez. The biggest mistake Alvarez could make is trying to win back his macho and stick to the tag on this fight which is 'toe to toe' etc. It's backwards because Trout and Mayweather were guys who needed that mind set and treatment...what he did with them will be tickets vs Angulo. Doubt very seriously this will be a war but more an methodical whipping of the body.

Getting the biggest pay day of his career after winning 2 of his last 4. This is a blessing for Angulo, good retirement money. Hes not beating a top 5 fighter in the div.

But he had, or has, the potential to be the top fighter- or a top fighter, rather than a gate-keeper/borderline journeyman.

You know exactly how they do it- steer a prospect up for about 25-30 fights, a good lot of bums with a few over the hill contenders or champions, mix in a young but inexperienced prospect, and you train him up for a title fight at the top level. Hopefully he wins out or has a fantastic showing, as he is prone to do.

This is just continually putting him in meaningless situations... when he could and should have had better.

I think they knew the lay of his max when he was being out sped and out boxed by James Kirkland. He's done very well to make a second run of it but he went to war with a previously vulnerable Lara and got topped, fair and square. Promotions get to this point where a guys yesterday's have exceeded what looks to be left and the investment has peaked so he'll have a fighting chance...but it's the Alvarez future being steered and bet on here.

He didn't have the pop or the hand speed to be better, he was always limited granted at a good professional level. He's a guy who will fight and be in great fights but might never have that dominant reign or be the man in the division

Probably a bit harsh. He gassed against Kirkland going for the kill. He didn't think anyone could handle his power. If he paced himself he'd probably have got the win there. Same with Tapia.

As for Lara. I have Lara as a top 10 boxer at the moment and he put up a great fight. I feel that fight will ruin him tho. Can't see his chin being as strong again or him having that desire anymore.

When I went to San Antonio to watch Canelo vs Trout , Trout showed up an hour early and signed autographs for till he had to weigh in and Canelo was an hour late most people didn't even know he had arrived till they announced he was about to weigh in and left right afterwards. And for that he's a prick and for that I'll be rooting for Angulo and I hope El Perro get to him. I hope.
