Default The Real Pride of R.I.

Peter Manfredo Jr. and Joey Spina are slated to fight each other. But what does this fight really mean? Both, imo, are not yet legitimate world class competition, so i dont see this fight boosting either of their careers much....anyways Manfredo Jr. UD

When is this fight scheduled to take place? The only reason I ever looked into either of their records was that there were rumour linking each one with Calzaghe. To become world level, they both have to fight some real opponents, and that will probably, mean, unless they get a shot at Lacy, mean they have to look outside the US, and this fight is unlikely to do more than hinder the loser's career, and wont give the winner much of a boost.

For feck's sake....is that date some sort of good luck charm for the SMW division or something? We have Kessler/Beyer, Calzaghe/Bika, and Spina/Manfredo Jr all taking place on the same night. Mental.

that's a packed date...but I think the Manfredo/Spina fight might be the best of the lot.....

I really hope that you are teasing me.... As a fight, I reckon the Kessler/Beyer will probably be the best matched, and be very difficult to call, despite all of those that say that Kessler is a strong favourite. Beyer has oodles of experience, and whatever the doubters say, will give Kessler a run for his money. Calzaghe Bika is in my view likely to be a walkover for Calzaghe.

Spina/Manfredo will probably be the most interesting for the American audience, though a bit of a non-fight for the rest of the world. I think it'll be another tight fight, but Manfredo's experience might win out here.

I was... I am anxious to see this Kessler/Beyer fight......the Joe C fight is worthless.....I really like Manfredo so anything he is in I'll watch...
