I am ready to stop watching boxing... bad stops, fixed fights, quitting... WTF! Tony Weeks stoppage of Angulo is the proverbial straw for me.

If Tony Weeks stopping that fight has any negative impact on how you look at boxing, you had probably may as well stop watching. Check out some Worldstar videos on youtube perhaps, might be more your taste.
Damn man. And welcome to the forum

I actually like the standing 8 count. The thinking is 'if a ref needs to look at a guy in the first place then he is hurt enough' or just delaying the eventual..stealing a finish from a guy doing damage but in many instances it can give a ref a clean moment to look a guy in the eyes and sort it...maybe on a limited scale usage or such but rather in the moment than barging into a corner between rounds. I can see both sides, but Angulos case it really would not have made a difference. Hindsight being 20-20.
Oh hey I think I'd like to see more standing counts brought in as well, but that fight was no case for it, a massacre nearly the whole way. Angulo didn't need an 8 count, he needed to be saved and hindsight doesn't change anything, some people just need to see a guy get pole axed to appreciate a fight
