Ya also gotta adjust for the fact that most ppl hate Floyd so they'll tend to lean toward Maidana where possible.

"Enough with the games mate! Your messing with the Grand Master!"

I want to re-watch it (which is the first time I've said that about a PBF fight in a while). At the time, I believe I had it 4-2 Maidana in the first six and then 4-2 Floyd in the last six = a draw.
im not sure i agree, even tho people tend to dislike him i think they also tend to bum him quite a bit, he gets a lot of credit for the pot shots and people always see punches hitting his arms a lot more readily than they do other fighters
like when he fought alverez, i dont for one minute think that was a bad decision or anything, floyd took over clearly by about round 5 or 6, I think it was close before that tho and floyd was getting rounds for landing a couple of punches from what i was hearing
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
Every round he won was purely down to rule bending and rough-housing. It was laughable some of the stuff he got away with. At one point he tried to knee Mayweather. I think Mayweather even said in between one of the rounds that he tried to bite him. Then there was the blatant low blow and the attempt to throw him out of the ring Royal Rumble style. I don't blame Maidana, because it was his only shot at winning. But you can't score rounds in his favour for it, especially when he's still being caught clean by Mayweather flurries at least once or twice a round.
The fact that popular media outlets had Mayweather winning as wide as 10-2 or 9-3, and others only had Maidana by the odd round suggests that Mayweather was the clear winner.

Mayweather by two rounds, nice to see Floyd earn his money, Maidana came to fight and both sides bent the rules a bit which I quite like in a odd sort of way.![]()
