Wow. Cotto is a brutal fucking bastard when he wants to be. Superb performance. That was career defining start to finish.

I'm so sad I almost had tears in my eyes. I stopped watching after the 5th. hats off to Cotto for doing what he had to.

I was terribly off on this one. Cotto was sharp. Never would have imagined Cotto had the faster hands. But Sergio took to long to get his feet under him to throw. Wide step with the lead foot, can't punch. Wide step with the trail foot, finally he can. Too late.

Wow that was an incredible performance from Cotto. I didn't think he had it in him.

He's making money. Him and his people knew his knees weren't up to it coming into this fight but this is a big pension payday for him. You can't blame him. He hasn't got the movement he once had and is getting wobbled by punches he wouldn't have taken pre injuries.
I think that's a stretch, he doesn't strike the sort to simply come in for payday. His pride and ego have gotten him in trouble prior and its taken the post injury to make him see the extent of it. But he sure as shat didn't just come in for a pension and excepting hes at the end

    All over.

You've forgotten more about boxing that I know but they must have known his mobility wasn't what it was before. Maybe once he'd signed the contract he didn't want to back out in case he'd have to pay previous earned money out or he thought it'd be alright on the night.

He's a long time retired though. The payday must have played into the calculations.

    Mayweather-Cotto on deck.

Martinez has never recovered from the 12th round of the Chavez fight

Wow, I was wrong on this one! Cotto looked good but he needs to stay away from GGG. Canelo may be too much as well, but that is a very good match up. Interesting to see who is next.
