If you need a new hard drive buy Hitachi. They have a tiny failure rate compared to all the other brands.

They are more famous for TV although Samsung and LG have taken over them in this area.

They make good power tools too, at least the high end stuff. They make high speed trains. Hitachi is a big fucking company.

They have lost the TV battle.

Siemens make quality electrical products and may have diversified into other areas.

While my computer was in the shop, my power went out. While I was waiting for an electrician, it came back on. By then, my computer was out of the shop but, when I plugged it in, my power went out again. I spent all week waiting on an electrician again. He just got here an hour ago, but he wasn't here long because ten minutes before he got here, my power came back on. He said to call if it goes off again, and I'm sure it will. Probably in January when it is 30 below zero.
I'm glad it is working again. I was exercising and doing productive things and I am very tired. Can't wait to get back to soap operas, Wagon Train, and fooling around here.
