Not heard this one before, I know Jones Jr sparred with NABF champ Ronnie Essett and IBF champ Lindell Holmes before turning pro. I know Eubank and Ronnie Essett were part of Bomber Graham's camp for the McCallum fight, but didn't spar eachother, Eubank apparently floored Bomber for the first in his life.

I don't know anything about Jones Jr and Eubank sparring..

I do know that Jones Jr was in the 'supertent' though (for Benn/Watson) because he exhanged phone numbers with Mica Paris, Benn/Watson was on NBC in the States and Jones Jr turned pro on that TV station.. they probably wanted to get Jones Jr in there with Benn?

I actually just got a copy of the Lindell Holmes sparring session. It's amazing to see how well Jones, a practical amataeur at the time, handle a very good champ in Lindell Holmes. I'd love to see if there is a copy of the Essett or any other early sparring session with Roy.
