It is a good show especially the boxing news and interviews which can be better than the fights

Teddy is an idiot. Sure he may know a lot about boxing, but when I look into his offset wonky eyes and hear his voice go from anger to stoner within seconds I simply shake my head and hit the FF on my remote. He has to have some extensive brain damage, right? He is defiantly not a normal human being with normal emotions. He goes insane with rage and over reacts to the most minute things. If he is married I am sure he beats his wife on a regular basis. Teddy, you are a meathead!!!

Surely you'd do a better job of gun wielding, training and commentating.

    Nice face by the way.
Since you like to bring up how connected Atlas is in boxing, I'll name a few guys a lot better than Atlas at commentating and also well connected to the sport.

Ray Leonard, George Foreman, Paulie Malignaggi, Andre Ward, Roy Jones, Antonio Tarver. If ABC/ESPN wanted an insightful and excellent commentator, hire those guys. At least 3 of them aren't under contract. Many classes above Atlas when it comes to commentating and some of them has more knowledge on the sport than he does, who is very mediocre at what he does.
Sir, Tarver cut his own throat. Foreman makes too much money doing other things. Leonard doesn't seem that interested. Ward is not that interested in full time work right now. Paulie and Roy are doing good work where the are.
I don't think anybody said that Teddy is the best but he has been a fighter, trainer, corner man, and around boxing for most of his life.
I like Atlas because he really doesn't care if you agree with what he says or not, he is going to say what he thinks.

    I like him.
    Great analyst.
Calls all the things out the we bitch about daily and gets black balled for doing so by the same fucking crooks.
Yes he can get to animated and if I'm his co-host I'd carry face towels but so what?
Has never sold ought to anyone not even Tyson
Great trainer as long as he's not on tv. Then he becomes a camera whore and forgets why he's there.
Routinely calls the scum bags out whenever asked about the climate of the sport. Does the very thing we all wish we could do.
Takes hack judges to task immediately on air.
    Great play by play guy.

He gets major respect from me on many levels but mostly for his honesty.

He is passionate about a sport he has devoted his life too...yes he must beat his wife and be insane.

I think you may be a few Eugene Levys short of a buddy cop movie Mr. Candy.

He's very much marmite as we're seeing here. Can't stand him personally though he does seem to be highly viewed by a lot of people.

And whilst yes he does call folk out like we do he tends to call out the wrong folk. The Algieri/Provonikov judges were not the ones deserving of hatred as that was a very close fight that could have one either way.

Anybody who follows boxing can do better than ATlast. The guy is the worst of all known boxing guy. Way overrated as a trainer. I don't want espn fight night because of him. It just shows how few are boxing heads remaining when espn can't get anybody better.

He's been doing Friday Night Fights for over 15 years. I guess his employers like him. you don't have to watch him if you don't.

fully agree with you except for Roy Jones. The man is a clown and over extends himself with error after error and thinks the audience is stupid enough to not notice his blunders

I don't know what to say to that, sir. I've always hated and despised Larry Merchant but there is no way he could ever keep me from watching a fight.
I've thought about it plenty of times but I usually just turned the volume down low. When fight night rolls around I gotta see that fight if possible.

Good retort. Oh you got me. What are you gonna reply with next? Could it be, "I know you are but what am I".

Teddy was a real good coach, he often has very interesting insights on a technical point of view. His big problem is that he's a total nutter and he could explode at anytime. Exactly the kind of guy I'd be affraid to have as a neighbor.

No shit Teddy. Just stick to the fight and save the intelligence-insulting crap for the fan boys.

I read and even reviewed his book. It was ok until I got to the part about Sammy the Bull Gravano from whose scrotum Teddy apparently wants to swing. Like a lot of short guys, Teddy wants to come of as a tough guy from a poor family, but the fact is, his father was a doctor so how poor could he have been? He is very snobby person off the air and has his own little clique of NYC guys. Never has any time for the fans who approach him. Thinks he is a f--king star. Also, everything he has touched seems to have gone sour except his gig on ESPN. Michael Moore, Donnie LaLonde, Povetkin, Muraqui, etc. etc He claims to have trained Tyson. Utter bullshit. Teddy is not a fan-friendly type and is just the opposite of Andre Ward or Paulie Malignaggi.
