I mean at least losing 2,000+ SOLDIERS is better than losing more and more CIVILIANS....yeah we kill their civilians but at least I am not in danger...my family isn't in danger, my friends aren't in danger UNLESS they VOLUNTEER for it.

In WWII 2,000 soldiers wasn't bad to lose in YEARS it was a reality that they were losing thousands A MONTH, A DAY, or A BATTLE...look at D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, and so on...War ain't for the feint of heart...we need MORE soldiers there if any progress is going to be made. CC. You earned it. Though Lyle makes some good points, and his smart ass response to your first post was amusing, I gotta agree with you. Way too many innocent Iraqi civilians have been murdered, and that is what really pisses off the terrorists, radicals etc. Also 1 soldier's life is significant, let alone 2,000. Initally the war in Iraq may have been necessary, but occupying them for this long and losing young men and women every day has just gotten to be senseless IMO. What the Hell are we doing over there ?!

If I was in the armed forces I might complain for reasons like : not enough armour, not enough troops, etc but it's WAR bombing happens it's like when it rains outside and the rain is wet...it goes together War = Death I mean they don't get to the front lines and thumbwrestle each other or paper, rock, scissors!

Soldiers are people and they are important but it is their JOB to put their lives on the line..like if I was an accountant I would you know do taxes and shit, that would be my JOB that I got PAID FOR. Same with them, if they don't like it they shouldn't have signed up. I myself tried to but alas my asthma has kept me from serving (for the time being, I might just try again). I have friends in Iraq right now my cousin is.....well he's fine unless some suicide bomber is able to hold his breath really long. He's in a sub.
