And before people say "OH MAYWEATHER DOESN'T HIT HARD, KHAN SURVIVED AGAINST MUCH BIGGER PUNCHERS, ECT", that's true, but he's never fought a guy with the speed, accuracy and skill of Mayweather and he's going to get hit with more clean, quality shots than the slow plodders were able to hit him with.
To be fair and honest, I think Khan would do well against Floyd. Floyd has slowed some, like everyone knew he would eventually. I'm not saying Floyd would lose or the fight would even be that close, but anything can happen.
Khan is very good, he has plenty of hand speed, good movement, showed good stamina and focus against Collazo.
If Khan can stay focused every second of the fight he'll do well, if not Floyd will make him pay.
Tired or relaxed fighters are Floyd's bread and butter.

Khan has the speed and height but how long will that last against Floyd? Floyd will adjust and find a way to beat Amir. There is no way Amir Khan deserves a fight against Floyd as he is not tested against real welterweights. His accomplishments at light welter do not stand up to him being in the same ring as Floyd. If Khan earned it by beating Brooks/Thurman he should get the fight but there is no way they will risk it unless they have to.

    That's what I've been saying.

People go on and on about Khan's speed. You need more than speed to beat Floyd.

People base the idea that Khan would challenge Floyd on his fight against Collazo. Fighting old, shot Collazo is not a good measuring stick for how someone would do against Floyd.

Khan wants Floyd and if he sits on his hands until May 2015 he will do it. More than likely he will have to fight December and that will be a light punching welterweight. If he does not get Floyd he will have to fight Brooks. I hope he has to fight Brooks.

He wanted an immediate rematch with Garcia and offer 1 mil to Garcia for the fight which was turned down and rightfully so, Khan beats him easily in rematch. I had him winning the Peterson fight and it should at least be a NC considering he failed the post fight drug test.

Khan deserves a shot at Floyd just as much as most of Floyds opponents do and of all the fighters out there with a realistic chance of fighting him I give him the best shot of beating him

This is why I sometimes hate boxing.

Khan HAS to fight a live opponent in december to get the may date or even next december.

Garcia should get the chance before khan.

Khan v Garcia would be a good fight and eliminator to fight Floyd. At welterweight Khan has advantage as he has fought at the weight and he can gain revenge.

I think his speed and skill would definitely trouble Floyd. I just think eventually he'd catch that lead right and Floyd would get him out of there.

Yea but Garcia and his dad have said loads of times they don't want to give khan a rematch. I think they know it's a very risky fight.

Khan then moves on to Peterson.

Garcia is overrated. I hope Floyd doesn't fight Garcia, that is a nothing fight with no intrigue. I feel like Khan is the better challenge for Floyd and would win a rematch with Garcia pretty easily. Thurman is too green, and brooks isn't ready at this point. The fighters I would like to see Fliyd defend against would be:
    1) Manny
    2) GGG (won't hold it against Floyd or blame him if he doesn't make this one)
    3) Khan
    4) Brooks
    5) Cotto

Thurman is far more dangerous for Floyd than Khan. Thurman would wipe the floor with Khan.

Yeah of course he would win easily, because he's beaten so many superstars since he "unluckily" lost to Khan, hasn't he?
    Thurman is too green.
well perhaps Khan should show him how it's done and give him a hiding!
and brooks isn't ready at this point.
    What , and Khan is?
The fighters I would like to see Fliyd defend against would be:
    1) Manny - Agreed

Floyd is barely a LMW , infact he isn't. So why fight a MW?
    3) Khan
    yeah, he's really proved himself!!!
    4) Brooks
By the time he gets fit, it would probably be a year since his last fight, and he's expected to give the best fighter on the planet a fight?
    5) Cotto
hasn't he beaten him already? What is there to prove here?
I wasn't going to reply to this thread because it drives me nuts, but I never cease to be amazed at the way Khan fans (and most Brits)brush over the facts and bang on about that "quick hands will cause Floyd problems" bullshit. Khan is not in Floyd's class and doesn't deserve to make the money that people that get in the ring with Floyd make.

Thurman may turn out to be more dangerous than Khan, but I do t feel that he is now. Khan has a great amateur pedigree and has fought on a larger stage. Khan is hard to quantify because he takes people light, is chinny, and is inconsistent. When he is up for a fight, however, I feel that he will be tough to beat.

Khan has too many flaws to beat Floyd.
