Sadly, no one really cares eitherbecause he isn't fighting.
Maybe he's chasing Crawford?

Possibility of bigger paydays, tired of making weight (it's hard on the body and harder for some guys). Maybe he wants to find out how good he is?
Is Mikey having management issues? I know Floyd wanted him to join him.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
They are going to ruin this kid filling his head with premature superstar status and stuffing him like a bloated turkey.
Garcia arguably swerved Gamboa and it was beginning to look like he was having trouble with Salido late in that fight before it was stopped. He hasn't fought this year. He still needs a break out performance, which he won't get not fighting. He's leapfrogging Crawford's division at 135 to jump to 140, but there enough tough fighters at 140 regardless. Until he fights, why does his weight matter?
I don't remember Garcia cleaning out 130 or 135...??
There are at least 5 fights, big money fight, that he can have at 130 or 135....

Horrible move for Garcia. He is going to get killed at 140. He was very effective at 130 because he is very solid and skilled, and his size and power (behind a hell of a jab) made up for his lack of athleticism. Without the one punch power and heavy jab with size advantage, I don't see him having the same success. Faster guys aren't going to be intimidated to come and aren't going to just sit outside and let the jab break them down. I think Crawford outspeeds him and wins easily and he is a 135 pounder.
Honestly, he did look a little too big for 130. Nicholas Walters looked too big for Feather last night too. Walters can go right up to Welter if he keeps it steady, while Donaire should look to move back down or retire.
