Default Who was the true "Magic Man"??

Who was the best Magic man??

Former WBA/WBC world Welterweight champ Marlon Starling

Former IBF 140lb/WBA 147 world champ Paulie Malignaggi

Former WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO/IBA/ect World lightweight champion and gambling addict Antonio Tarver

Personally... I have to go with the original, Marlon Starling!

I have to go with Tarver.

He was a meth user before becoming world champion.

From basehead to world beater surely required dipping into the black arts.

Tough one. Tarver 37 fights over 15 years. Starling 51 fights over 11 years. Pauli 39 fights over 13 years.

I voted Starling, but Tarver did magic on RJJ. Great fights with Glencoffe & showing valor @ HW.
Paulie N'Dou, Diaz & Judah best wins. Wasn't consistent, didn't have a major belt.

Starling- Donald Curry was his kryptonite- But Donald held the belt for a few good defenses.
Starling dominated in his grudge match with Honeyghan. Schooled Floyd Mayweather. 1st to defeat Simon Brown & Mark Breland.

Was a showboater @ times. Stance was pretty stout- or sometimes flatfooted, so he was good at bending at the hips, shoulder rolling. Put punches together well.

Another guy I've been privileged to meet. Marlon is a cool little dude, So I'm a bit biased for him at that note- got to call Marlon the TRUE Magic Man.

I got a picture with Tarver once- Not sure what to make of what he thought of me. I had on my Stacie Adams shoes, Black Silk suit, Trench coat and the dude actually looked me up and down- before he agreed to take the photo.

Damn dude who took the picture had his friggin thumb over the lense..

Seems to me like Tarver started in the pros way too late and became a one-punch wonder with his KO over Roy Jones, only to lose to then-journeyman Glen Johnson in the very next fight.
