Of course he is. Like I said these are not carefully concocted plans. Freddy doesnt have time for that. Hes throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks. There's no direct line between freddy and floyd for freddy to start picking his brain. Freddy knows anything he says is going to blown up by the media and eventually be all over. Noone says it has to be true or even fair its just has to make its way to the people around floyd... Freddy comes out at the end of the day and says"floyds afraid of the dark ..." "Floyds got 3 testicles" ... "Floyd cant move his legs.." "FLoyd was dropped on his head as a baby" whatever the statement of the Day is.... and then its all over the internet the news papers.. etc.

How ridiculous would it be for Freddy to come out and say Floyd is a sucker for an "upper hook"...cuz hes never seen one. "We've been practicing it all day every day...." Now Floyd at the movies or in the club whatever and people are asking him about the dreaded "upper hook" and how he plans to deal with it. His kids are bringing it home from school.... whatever. It took Freddy 2 seconds.. by the time it reaches Floyd it has exponentially more energy and stupidity behind it. If he flipped out because a lady in a barber shop didn't know who he was... how about everyone in the twitter universe, where he goes echoing the sentiment that he is going to be knocked out by a mythical punch that's never really used cuz hes never seen one. It took Freddy one second to blurt it out. Practically no effort at all... but it takes on a life of its own.

I know it sounds crazy that it could be that easy. But think about the things floyds lost his cool over ... His kids mother talking to some scrub from the lakers on the phone .. He assaulted her and took her phone in front of his children. brian kenny had him stammering. Arguments in front of the HBO camera because his dad took credit for his success. It doesn't take much to set him off.

They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I'm just going to step aside from this one because I don't really buy into any of this soap opera drama. I don't believe that woman didn't know who he was, I think it was an obvious troll job. I don't believe Freddie's comments will have any effect on the outcome. Frankly I don't believe a word Freddie says, he's a confirmed anti-Semite racist liar.

If he feels he needs to carpet bomb nonsense it shows their weakness not Floyd's, or they wouldn't need to show themselves so desperate.

A better way would be to be quiet and confident and let Floyd be stupid, but with Freddie doing the stupid Floyd can concentrate on training.

I don't think he is a confirmed anti-semite racist liar. Can you get confirmed for that kind of thing? You can't really judge his character from one solitary outburst in which nearly everyone was acting like an idiot.

Floyd likes it. The more people talk about him the happier he is. So if Roach thinks he's bothering him, he's mistaken.

IT's not very difficult; he's overtalking so the heat is directed toward him and not Manny. Which is pretty pretty smart actually. While they talk about him, Manny can focus quietly. Roach has been in the business since the dawn of dawns, he knows how it goes and what pressure is. He's just playing his violins accordingly.

True, he may as well throw as much shit as he can think of out there. I'm sure he's even under pressure to do so, Manny doesn't promote himself whatsoever after all. I don't think it affects a fighters standing much what is said before a fight either, only what happens in the ring. I'd like Floyd more if he'd stuck to his guns and kept calling everyone a C+ heavy bag or whatever, everyone know's he's a dick anyways and that's more entertaining than thanking jesus for a victory over a great competitor or whatever boring crap he spews.

I heard him on some interview Monday (?) where he went on about Manny has real dislike for Mayweather because he is without morals or some shit. Repeated 'he is not a good person' about 20 times.

Floyd should start coming to press conferences wearing horns and cloven hoof shoes. Or better yet enter the ring that way.

Anyway Roach should really consider shutting his pie-hole. He's a media whore that probably causes as many problems and distractions for his fighter as anything else.

And some of the stupid shit he says like "we dare Floyd to throw his favourite punch" is borderline retarded.

Floyd reminds me of one of those guys who feel it is better to be talked about badly, then not not be talked about at all.

Floyd came to Jackson a while back as a guest at the Sports Hall of Fame. I had an invite but declined to attend. Apparantly there were not more than 12 people to meet him 4 of them didn't have a clue who he was. Outside of boxing no one knows or wants to know who he is.
