Yes, he put up a good showing, but maybe needed a bit more experience to give it a real shot. Maybe some more fights against taller men. With a bit more acclimatisation Jennings could maybe have done more, but it is what it is. Jennings tried, Wlad was just going through the motions again.
Jennings did very well in negating his height. Wlad had to come forward mostly and lost a bit of range on that hover jab...Jennings never kept still and did work inside where Wlad didn't have leisure of going through motions. Thought it a good heavyweight fight
I think Jennings waited too long at times and sometimes allowed Wlad to do his octopus routine thing. In that sense it was a typical Wlad performance who was only ever looking to do enough. I agree that Jennings showed a few different things and I just wish he could have done more. More fights against big guys would have helped him a little in that regard. It took him a while to warm up and by that stage he was behind. It's a shame he couldn't take advantage of the deduction round too. Still, he finished the fight and by the sounds of him Jennings will use that as a learning experience. He didn't get beaten up or anything like that and it was more like high level sparring at times. Jennings did better than most, but you just wish he could have produced a little more.

I don't think it was a good fight. If anything it was a bit boring, but one of Wlad's more entertaining ones I guess.

Very true. Wlad has used that to his advantage very well. Wlad is very boring, but he is very effective. His pacing is down to a tee. I mean, I don't enjoy watching him fight at all, but you can see that there is a lot of intelligence at work. He doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve or do anything to get you excited, but that's his strength and he learnt that from those losses. You have to respect that even if it is hardly like watching Mayorga.

Jennings fought well and should be proud. He needs to cool it with the sass though, it could NOT have gone either way.

Wlad won like 9/12 rounds. Easy.

I like Wlad the person and athlete however , swallow diving from a plane at 30,000 feet without a parachute onto a bed of nails would be preferable to watching his fights.

I have not seen the fight but reading these posts. It sounds like Wlad has reverted to type and bored people again with his survivor display.

I didn't think it was that bad for a Wlad fight.

The ref being on his case from the start helped. Jennings also showed some bollocks and an awkward funky style.

Jennings came in with a great fight plan but just was too inexperienced to win. I thought the fight was closer than the scorecards indicated but wlad definitely won. If Jennings were better, he would have easily beaten wlad.

Wlad won in typical boring fashion. It was another predictably colorless, embarrassingly cartoonish, attempt by Wlad to be a heavyweight champion.
I was surprised to see Jennings go the distance, that Wlad didn't throw his right hand more, and how many warnings for holding Wlad received before a point was deducted.
Wlad's fielding ability with interview questions is impressive. He gives the shortest answer possible, does not make excuses, and absolutely does not stray from the question. No rambling at all.
Why anyone would think that Wlad's retirement would be a bad thing for boxing is beyond me to answer.

Vlad is not one of the best heavies ever....not even close.
He's the best now because the division sucks. Jennings has a shot but he has to stay busy and work Wlad hard. That's the only shot he has.
Wlad doesn't like to be worked. If David Haye had fought Wlad the way Jennings did he would have won. More speed more power.
