    When I saw Canelo land that right cross and James go spinning down to the canvas in my mind I hear the "BWEEE WOO WOOOOOOO" Mike Tyson's Punch-Out sound effect....all the fight was missing after that was Mario as the referee

    Any chin that does more leading than any shadow of a jab is a 'bad' chin. Gauging a chin is often done like one of those arcade speed bags used to measure a punch. Both are not enough long term, but will get you shouted about, without other tools. Its complicated man Kirkland sells his chin out and with his awkward bad feet, exposing himself as easily as he commits to landing the bomb..all in one motion, the made irrelevant southpaw stance on top of about a handful of other holes. He has been wobbled by a handful before Ishida and looks short circuited off 'fast' punches. Ishida was precision and speed and a truck load of nuts. He walked Kirkland down sharpshooting. I think Angulo was the best fight he's fought, he was damn sharp after being dropped and made smart target practice with some combinations after Angulo went 1st round windmill. That was a beat down. Someone needs to watch out for this guy, someone bigger than the network using him as shark chum and a scalp. No idea why the turmoil with Wolfe but regardless of boxing..it'd be good to see him get back to some sort of foundation. For the bigger picture. Kinda high

    I agree Cheech Chins are a funny one, I think it would take a very rare beard to be able to handle punches well with a style like Kirklands, his isn't that bad in itself. So much of it is the feet and awareness, nobody can just full zombie forward and take real power punches in return. I think the Ishida fight was maybe a one off, he got caught cold or was ill prepared etc. Just from the shots he was able to fight through against Angulo and Canelo the other day, he obviously isn't that fragile.

    Finally watched the fight. Can't say kirks chin is shit or he wouldn't have gotten out of the first. Kirkland doesn't win without Wolfe anyway. Canelo says he's learning English, let's go, hablo some English

    @Spicoli
    Angulo fight was his best. If you listen to Ann in one of the rounds she pleads with him to use the jab and said " but double it up". He did for round 3-4 the next round was when Ann got ghetto.
    Muthaf#!a this is yo,' destiny.
    Fight was over that next round.
    She may not win him a title but has proven only she can get the most mileage out of Kirkland.
