Yeah, Urkal really earned that title shot by going the distance in his last fight with a 2-4 fighter. Maybe, it was his two back-to-back losses to Vivian Harris that did. Come on, homie? All that means is NOBODY is invinsible regardless of the quality of your opposition.
#4. I didn't hear you complaining about Hatton-Urkal, he was getting a shot at the title there but everyone was fine with that.
#5. He has 3 loses 2 to Vivian and 1 to Tszyu, no shame in that. Hes bounced back from that and if he was told your getting a title shot then damn! it give him one.

I've told you why he deserves a shot already. Hes been ranked top 10 for a minute now the lowest I've seen him is at #6. In 4 out of 5 places I cheked hes ranked there in the top 10. I've also seen him ahead of Paul Williams, Clottey, Quintana, Gatti, Collazo, Cintron. IMO being ranked that high above the rest of those guys gets you a shot. Is that not sufficent?

Does that mean after 3 fights against relative nobodies Zab Judah should get a shot at the Undisputed Championship again. I've told you why he deserves a shot already. Hes been ranked top 10 for a minute now the lowest I've seen him is at #6. In 4 out of 5 places I cheked hes ranked there in the top 10. I've also seen him ahead of Paul Williams, Clottey, Quintana, Gatti, Collazo, Cintron. IMO being ranked that high above the rest of those guys gets you a shot. Is that not sufficent?

Dude, this is the whole problem. This is completely circular. All you're saying is that he deserves a shot because someone fucked up and ranked him highly. The question the answer to which you've been unable to articulate is "Why the hell should Urkal be ranked highly at 147--above Williams, Clottey, Quintana, Collazo or Cintron?" There's no good answer to that, because he SHOULDN'T be ranked above them. He's done nothing impressive at 147, certainly nothing comparable to what those guys have all done. If everyone ranked him where they ought to--at around #14 or so, maybe--there'd be no question about how "deserving" the guy is of a title shot. There shouldn't be any question as is--the guy hasn't done shit at 147 and shouldn't be rewarded for it.

PBF vs. Baldomir - Done deal
Hatton going back to 140
Margarito vs. Clottey - Done deal
Cotto vs. Quintana - Done deal
Collazo - Just lost it so thats that
Gatti - Future not sure thats that
Cintron vs. Suarez - Done deal
Zab - Yeah! right now that would be funny if he got a shot at the title. Maybe another shot at the IBF belt.
The only one Welter who is on par with a shot at a title is Williams but his effatuated with getting in the ring with Margarito. But I'm sure he would NOT pass on fighting the winner of Cotto-Quintana if the offer presented itself.
