Come on guys, brook had his eye socket broken and the corner stopped the fight..he is a welterweight..and not even the best in his division..canelo has fought better opponents.
Then I reckon Canelo will have exactly 0 excuses to fight GGG if Canelo is able to win vs Smith.

I mean if "GGG has fought nobody" then I guess he's ripe for the taking and Canelo being a true Mexican warrior would be OBLIGED to fight him in order to achieve something more important than holding belts at 154.....that's holding belts at 160.

After that he should face Jacobs because Jacobs is the only middleweight left frankly that deserves the fight.

If he needs another fight before Canelo, a fun fight would be Khurtzide only because he's a little wrecking ball.

If no junior middleweight moves up in weight by that time, and Canelo refuses to face him, move up to face Gliberto Ramirez or James DeGale.

I don't really see the point of Eubank Jr., no belt, and no notable wins.
I really don't see why GGG has to be encouraged to move weights, let him clean up MW and then sit back, after he's beat BJS for the last alphabet title why should he worry? He's the main man and if other wannabees want to come up or down in weight to fight him that is entirely between themselves and their gullible promoters. GGG should stick to his weight and force others to adopt it if they want a chance at one of the best ever middleweights.

PS please don't mention Khan as a plausible opponent, its even more ridiculous than Froch or Calslappy, just journo publicity agent bollocks

GGG is over-rated and Andre Ward beats him easily. I have my own theories as to why he so over-rated but I can't say. I have my own theories as to why Sergey Kovalev is over rated but I can't say.

Eubank Jr would be good fight but Eubank Jr beats Triple G. Badou Jack beats GGG as does James De Gale.

Just say it. Don't be afraid. Let me guess it has to do with their race?

And tyson fury beats Andre Ward, ggg is two divisions below Ward and isn't particularly big in that division.

I know GGG has just fought Brook but he didn't chase the fight, it was offered and he took it because Jr was dicking about.

Agreed. After dominating a division in such a matter to even have other title holders scared to fight you, why not? Sit back and watch the contenders fight to face the champion.

It's in GGG interests money wise to clean up the division and a huge fight with canelo next year..the only thing is that the fans get annoyed when ward could have easily stayed at his weight and destroyed degale or jack but was pressured to move up to fight killer Kovalev.

I say this, if ward beats kovalev this year and Virgil thinks he can drop to 168 to fight GGG...then the game is well and truly over..Ward will own boxing after that.

Khan is still in the mix..but at what weight..147 or 154?

Ward was not forced to move up, he chose to move up.
