Among these are some major players (Russia, China, Britain, France, Japan). The U.S. abstained from the vote to pass a resolution urging Israel to halt building settlements on occupied Palestinian land. So I guess the U.S. is also in hot water with Israel... again.

I got my own opinion on this (which I'll initially reserve), but... any thoughts?

Yeah, the Israeli Gov is constitued of top notch assholes. There is just no proper reason to continue to colonize a land that's not their, trying to get time on their side by arguing all sort of idioties and pulling the "anti semite" card everytime someone dare to criticize them for their latent imbicilities. It's sad that Trump wants to reverse the steam once he's in office because FINALLY, things were a tad getting done in the UN and the US, for the first time in a long time, didn't use their veto to make everything abort.

This documentary is now a few years old, but Israel has been segregating, building illegal settlements, and massacring for a long while now. The documentary is revealing in showing how nutty Zionists are. They are often completely racist and xenophobic and use some fairy story about being 'chosen ones' as an excuse for removing a native population. It is enabled by the US who funds them. It is quite sick. Then if you criticise it you get called an anti-semite. Totally agree. In today's era and environment, I think it's high time the world begins to put a muzzle on these guys. For being such a small country, they sure stir up a lot of shit. Just the fact that you've got all these other countries... who don't always agree on everything... lined up on a resolution against these settlements... speaks volumes about who the damn troublemaker is here. Unfortunately I see a chance of Trump reversing the recent U.S. stance and undoing some of the progress that is trying to be made on the global scene.

That's a fair enough assessment and complaint. Maybe the ideal was good... but as usual from idea to reality there's usually a huge disconnect. Maybe it's time for people with balls to completely overhaul the organization, and make it do what it was meant to do. Otherwise scrap the damn thing.

Also in regards to Israel, they won that land in a war they didn't start. So what you want to punish them for being too good at defending themselves?
