Thanks. CC back to you and BestP4P. I was just playin Fight Night round 3 a couple weeks ago, and the thought of this match came to me. Then I forgot about it for a while, then remebered it and thought I should bring it up on here, and think what you guys all think. It would have been something had Tyson KO'd Rahman and taken the HW title. I don't believe any of that BS of Lennox trying to duck Mike, or bein worried about him sharpening up his skills against Mercer, if anything he'd be worried Mercer might be able to so somehow beat Tyson, thought that is doubtful around 2000-2002. Anyway had Tyson beaten Rahman, you know he would have avoided Lennox for as long as he could, then fought him for the big money and gotten thrashed like he did. By that time he just wasn't beating Lewis, and I like Tyson better than Lewis, but it's the truth.

Tyson would have to have caught Rahman early & hoped he stayed down.

Tyson was shot long before 2001 & did not have the heart or stamina for a tough fight.

I hate to disagree but here's how I see those fights happening

Oleg Maskaev - Tyson TKO 6, Oleg gets hit too much
Kirk Johnson - Tyson KO 3
John Ruiz - Ruiz UD or DQ, his grabbing style is a lot like Holyfield and it would piss old Mike off big time
Chris Byrd - Byrd UD or DQ, Chris could take a punch and when he was slick he'd just tire Tyson out
Michael Moorer - Tyson KO 1 vs the old Moorer but vs the mid 90's Moorer I see it going 6 before Tyson catches him
Vassily Jirov - Tyson KO 6
Jameel McCline - Tyson swinging for the fences vs Jameel is PERFECT. TKO 3
    Shannon Briggs -Briggs TKO 5
Riddick Bowe - Prime Bowe KO 8, older Bowe KO 10
Vitali Klitschko - Vitali KO 7
    Wladimir Klitschko -Wlad TKO 8
(South Africa) Corey Sanders - Sanders TKO 8
James Toney - Toney TKO 8
Roy Jones Jr. - RJJ UD or DQ
Lamon Brewster - Tyson TKO 5

I just think that Mike has NEVER EVER EVER lost by decision and he would either get hammered out or quit before he did vs any of these guys....I love watching Tyson fight but once you think honestly about who he could beat post 1991 it's VERY depressing.

And just think with crafty or awkward fighters like Byrd and Ruiz....you have to figure Tyson would try to break their arms or headbutt or something.

Sorry, but I don't see a Klitschko knocking out Mike Tyson at around this time. Maybe Vitali, who seemed to have a decent chin, would have been able to. But certainly not Wlad, who would have gotten hit, freaked out, and been stopped. Prime or 90s Tyson kills either Klit brother. 01, I love Roy Jones, but he couldn't hurt Mike, and unless he just tired him out, Tyson would knock Roy out.

What good fighter in the 90's did Tyson beat? Rudduck He hurt Mike! Frans Botha was out fighting and out boxing Mike until he got nailed and if Frans had any power he would have beat Mike!

The only DECENT fighter Tyson beat was Golota and that was a blueprint victory and GOLOTA QUIT...he weathered Tyson's early shots and could have gone on if he wasn't a jackass!

The truth is Mike was 100% done after Buster Douglas he mailed in the rest of his career

Tommy Morrison would have beat him, Ray Mercer would have beat him, ....the list goes on

Mercer, maybe.... Morrison..No way! Now Tommy loved to brawl, and had a ton of heart, but was a bit chinny, Mike woulda ate him up. Michael Moorer would have been iced quickly. Briggs, mighta given Mike trouble for a while, but eventually he would have been stopped. 90s Tyson was no joke, Bowe, Lewis and Holyfield were about the only guys capable of beating him. I thinke Tyson would have beaten Bowe myself, but its' kind of a toss up. You are underrating Tyson a bit, and definately overrating the Klitschkos Lyle, as usual.

....Tyson had NO boxing skill after Rooney left and he had no drive for success after Douglas beat him.

Hulk it's true Tyson was nothing more than a journeyman after prison...had he fought anyone good he would have lost.

I think Rahman would of done just as good a job on (2002)Tyson as Lewis did (Bar the KO).

Rahman would jab, box and escape any real danger for 6 to 7 rounds then there condition would dwindle and the fight would probably wind up a bit of a snooze fest. Hasim running, spoiling. Tyson not doing much ecept lunching into a one punch attack then submitting to a clinch.

Rahman likes to brawl too much...see the Maskaev fights....Tyson would have cracked him not because he was still a good fighter but because of his power. That's the only thing that kept him winning
