I would love to see Hatton v Castillo, wouldn't be able to pick a winner in that one
    What a tear up though!!

    Jesus...Rickys 28 not 38!!

The Collazo fight showed us nothing about Hatton other than he'd be better off fighting at 140 where he's strengths are more effective.

That said, any fight with Floyd could still be at 147 because Floyd doesn't put on the extra bulk in order to play to his strengths. Effectively, you'd have two 140lbers fighting for a 147lb title.

As for power, Rickys never been a concussive puncher. The damage he inflicts is culmulative, always has been. He breaks opponents down. Floyd actually acheives much the same but instead of breaking them down physically, he breaks thier hearts.

    What a fight this'd be!!

Collazo showed us that Hatton will only be able to convincingly beat guys that big if they can't box and fight Hatton's fight.

I like Ricky, I really do... but I imagine a similar fight to Lacy-Calzaghe if Hatton fights Floyd...

After rewatching Hatton Collazo I think he should of been lucky to get a draw, his camp need to go back to the drawing board for 147 pound fighters... he can't Maul them like he can at 140... he needs to box his way in first.

Acumulative punches are made effective by either accurate punching or decent hand speed.

I like Ricky and all but the Collazo fight showed he doesn't hit as hard as we once thought
Yep, that about hit it on the nail. cc
The Collazo fight showed so much about Hatton... unfortunately.

Hey, maybe it was because Collazo was southpaw, maybe Hitman will surprise us
in his next fights. My mind still remembers Hatton "dazed and confused" in the last round though.
All the Collazo fight shown me about hatton was that he had an off night. Thats his 2nd bad day at the office in 41 fights - Not bad!!

In the last round i wouldnt say hatton was 'dazed and confused' You watch it again, Yes his defense was gone (it was most of the fight to be honest) and he got caught flush and looked to be going down early in the round but he soon sorted himself out and controlled the last minute or so of the round.

Mark my words, you will see the real ricky hatton in 2007. forget 2006, it was a disaster!

Dude you are one delusional individual....Castillo is pretty Damn tough and tried to get to Floyds body, fact is Castillo is more proven than Hatton at this point of Hattons career.....Strong as Hatton? Please at 147 Hatton looks like a Midget...So take your "Gayweather" talk and move your ass on down the line...

Have been very dissapointed with ricky since he decided to step down a weight so soon, but as for the castillo fight? i really hope it happens coz it will be funny how fast hatton will Ko him - and how things will change.

Doubt that my man Castillo is far from Chinny, Castillo will lock Horns with him the whole night, Should be fight of the year candidate but a FAST HATTON KO is probably the least likliest scenario out of them all

i think hatton would be a good test for mayweather but after watching some of mayweathers fights i would put my money on floyd. Although i would love to see hatton win.

...I think Hatton is going to be a good tough test for Castillo.

It's like ever since Jose couldn't make weight people forgot about him...he has a good style for Hatton to fight against although Hatton has a good style for JLC to fight against.

It's going to be a big battle

I still think JLC age will become a factor somewhere,I mean he wants to war EVERY fight and usually succeeds in doing so! I still favour Hatton but what a fight it would be although I don't think it would be better than JLC-Chico. I think Castillo will easily carry the weight up,he is a beast!
