I am obsessed with James Toney, I am obsessed with Joe Calzaghe, I am not obsessed with Floyd Mayweather. I started a thread asking what it was all about as frankly the mans career for the past decade has been all about doing what he wants when he wants it and not giving a damn about any of you. Then he comes along and decides to fight a novice and apparently wanted Brits to pay 100 pounds for a PPV and is charging Americans 100 dollars for a PPV. I don't understand the appeal, I don't understand why the media has lapped it up so casually, and I don't know why 'fans' like you seem to be so into it and cannot abide someone speaking a little truth. It is not hating or obsessing to say it is all a bit rubbish and that he is and has been taking the piss out of everybody. You probably want to kiss Floyd Mayweather. That is obsession.

If it was a Cotto rematch, or a fight with Bradley I would say fair enough, but it's a con and everyone knows it. Even a fight with Khan would be better. Floyd sells himself very well. In an hbo interview he stated himself part of his greatness is picking opponents he knows he will beat. Respect to Floyd for saying that. As one of the greatest defensive fighters of the modern era. Not saying he fought all shit fights but if he thinks he might lose he ain't taking the fight. I don't know why people get upset and say it isn't true, Floyd said it himself. The I've bought the last 6 or seven Floyd fights and only really regret getting the berto fight. Floyd has great people behind him and who groomed him to this controversial figure who sells very well but he who blew his 700 million anyway. I've been hoping Floyd would fight again so I could buy it and watch his beautiful shoulder role but this fight is the ultimate fight of Floyd picking a gimmie fight and I can't get it. Tickets must not be selling well. Floyd has ow announced Conor can wear what ever brand of glove he likes and that they'll be fighting in 8oz gloves. I think it was @Spicoli that said we'd get weekly announcements each week up to the fight. Next week we'll get Davis' opponent, then Jacks, does Floyd tempt with a smaller ring? Doubt it. What about number of rounds? What other carrots can Floyd dangle to entice the gullible?

Good job miles, stay true, don't listen to the naysayers. Most of us posting here are not buying the fight but I will watch it on YouTube or maybe a feed if I can get it at work. Of course we will talk about this fight, it's Floyd and it's a boxing forum. A couple people just have an irrational fixation on you. Why would they care if you say u will leave the forum everyday, how does it effect them. I wish they would leave the drama and attacks off the main boards but they have an inability to contain themselves and must lash out against anyone who they feel is different (aka normal)
