Dennis, I am a great Benn fan, but if you really think that Nigel would have beaten Marvin Hagler in any way whatsoever, I'd like to drink whatever you are.

Benn could not have outpointed Hager in a million years. Hagler was a consummate southpaw boxer when he chose to be.

Benn would not have stopped Hagler, who was never dropped in his entire career, despite mixing with some of the most murderous punchers in history.

Benn would not have been able to stand in front of Hagler and try and wear him down by brawling (ie MacClellan). Hagler would have chopped him down.

Ben could not have relied on Marvin getting cut, or swollen etc etc, becasue he didn;t (except once against Hearns)

..... and this is me talking as a genuine Benn fan.

I think I will start a thread entitled "Audley Harrison against prime Ali - who wins?"
