I think David Diaz will miss out to bigger names i.e. Barrera, Juan Diaz, even Pacquiao. Although I feel Julio Diaz would be a great fight. David Diaz would be an easy night for Casamayor!

I agree and it's funny but right now, with Fretias retiring,Castillo moving up and Chico retiring/moving up,Cas is all alone in my opinion as the big name of the division. If I was him,Id all out Pacmn,Morales and MAB,they are the big fights not guys liek Diaz(no offence) especially when taking into consideration Cas's age.

I don't like Casamayor, or his sometimes dirty style. But he does have personality, longevity, and skill.

When taken all that into consideration, "Please give this man a big payday!"

Sorry David Diaz, but I think Casa deserves a big name opponent.

Diaz wouldn't be much competition for Casamayor. Fighting him is a waste of time. What has he done to earn a title shot?

he is the wbc interim champion
if diaz aint worth fightin casamayor
what about him fightin MAB and pac?
    we'd rather see MAB-pac2 than casamayor-MAB
so for the mean time, let him fight someone
    and that is david diaz

Interim champion, whoa that makes him worthy. Casamayor will fight somebody that can bring him a decent paycheck. Diaz ain't it.

so you prefer to see casamayor-barrera
    than pac-mab2?
you know what, one thing is for sure
whether pac wins or losses against EM
    he is fightin MAB
so if casamayor really wants him
    he could wait until 2008
that is if MAB is gona survive pac
all im tryin to say is if he thinks diaz is garbage
then put him at the garbage can by kicking his ass

Diaz is just solid, why would Casamayor take this fight late in his career?

But where is the big money for him? For some reason I just doubt a Barrera fight will happen. As much as I like to watch Juan Diaz fight, is he really big money, either way he, or his team, don't seem interested in stepping up yet. Julio Diaz isn't big money. Freitas is retired. Castillo's gone to 140. Would have to be a 130 pounder moving up, but who? Even though it wouldn't be huge money, I'd rather see him fight Barrios than Diaz.

The second David Diaz fights top 10 oppostion hes gonna loose.

I saw his fight vs. Silverio Ortiz which he lost and was given a gift decision this by far was one of the worst robberys I've seen it's worst then Bobby Pac vs. Carlos Hrndz. it was such a bad call both of the announcers commented on how disgusted they were to have even been a part of the fight (as far as commentating) one of the announcers when as far as busting a Teddy Atlas on the commission and asking the pres. how could he let something like this happen.

Honestly Diaz was out husstled by Ortiz that night Ortiz was the better fighter but unfortunately bad judging runied that fight.

I think Julio Diaz is the best competition, but Juan is the bigger money... maybe Guzman, good comp & maybe good dollar was

Wrong Diaz, your confusing Juan 'Baby Bull' Diaz with David Diaz.
David Diaz jusy beat Armando Santa Cruz.
And you also mentioned Julio 'The Kid' Diaz.....shet!! now I'm confused!!!

No I meant David when I said Diaz is just solid, I just threw out Juan as another possibility
