Dunno the exact name for it, all the big diggers and machines where I worked would use it... all I know is it was oily and had silicon and bits of metal or something in it...

well see the swivel i have is made out of 2 pieces that are connected the part that attaches to the platform is like a bowl with a hole in it and the part were the bag hooks on sits down in the bowl through the whole i really dont like it

Sounds like the first one I had. Plastic base with a plastic ball inisde the base, and the another piece that attaches to the ball and the bag. Piece of crap, mine broke and the attached piece would unscrew from the plastic ball over time. It came completely off one time and about got me in the eye. You need to buy a new one, the all steel ones are a lot faster than that one.

as you can see from this picture the swivel wont let the ball hit b4 the hook clanks on the side of the bowl thingy

The only thing its good for is head and foot movement. But very few people use it for that. Im 62 and can make it move just as fast using my head as people using their hands can. Using it for hands is of no benefit what so ever. The first person I ever saw using it for movement of the head was Roberto Duran it was a joy to watch I think Ive still got the tape somewhere Ill have a look if not ill vidio myself doing it

What you mean you used it for you head?

he means using it for defense purpose. moving your head out of the way. punch it and slip it as its going back and forth. also can be used to build strength in the neck area. a neck harnes is good for that tho.

No thats not it lords. Put your hands behind your back if you like, move the ball with head while moving the feet and body. Your kneck moves 2 inch it teaches movement at speed, its the same movement as slipping a shot, circle as you do it. Its hard work doing it, but good fun

What do you do with the ball then Scrap? basically make it roll around your head?

Adam you hit it with your head as thougth your slipping a shot its a great technique to learn
