Well, i dont know if this entirely correct but im sure that the SMW division has only been running for 15-20 years.

You may of not know that and so that is fair enough. The history of the SMW really is a knock on effect of the welterweighting 80's kings getting old (Leonard, Herans, Duran etc). It had developed through the 90's with many Light Middleweights and Middleweights moving up too (Nun, Jackson, Barkley, McCullum, Eubank, Benn and of course your favorites Toney & RJJ).

So you see apart form the odd couple of boxers since the late 90's (Ottke, Calzaghe, Cant think of any more) Theres not been any real SM Champs who have had a lenghty spell at SM (more than 5 years). So RJJ & Toney are more than suitable for all time status within the SMW division.

To argue otherwise is like arguing that Fabrice Tiozzo isnt an all time graet Cruiserweight.

Kind of pathetic that you feel the need to point out what some US boxing "experts" feel are the A.T.G. at SMW as a reason to not trust the US. I live here and can find better reasons than that. how about we look at it another way... and we talk about who took the biggest shit in a particular toilet... roy jones and james toney took some of the biggest shits in the toilet that is the SMW division... they may have only shit once or twice compared to guys that shit in the same toilet hundreds of times... but their shits were still bigger than all the smaller shits.. no?

Home town decisions happen every where! Being an Aussie, i have seen our boxers ROBBED in England, America, Germany(heaps!), BUT i have also seen visitors ROBBED coming to our shores also. It sucks, It shouldnt happen, BUT it does. It is stupid to have a go at any particular country, when it is the judges and sometimes promotors who need the kick in the ARSE!
