Tommy Hearns hammers Mayweather like driving a nail through the canvas.

All Valid areguements Speed kills and always has!!! Floyd can take a punch and his defense is incredible period!!!!!! He is deadly accurate and very selective about his punches and is always poised thats how you preserve energy physical and nervous he can go 20 rounds if he had 2 and stilll be fresh..Hearns is great and had a superhuman right hand, Floyd counteracts that with different angles faints counterpunching Hearns had alot of heart but not smart enough to adjust...do you remember Corralles vs Maymeather Diego and Hearns similar body type combo of speed and 1 punch knock out power...Diego could never get off against Floyd couldnt figure him out 2 many angles..But against castillo Diego can trade go figure!!! Boxing is all about matchups Not a good one for hearns

I cant iamgine that anyone that saw Tommy Hearns fight could pick Floyd to beat him, this fight ends in brutal ko fashion for sure.

Tommy Hearns would be a nightmare for Mayweather, imo. Just too long and powerful, naturally MUCH bigger... PLus I seriously doubt Mayweather could hurt Hearns even if he landed his best shots repeatedly.. Hearns chin is underrated. It wasn't total crap like some ppl think, he never got hurt by anything but a great punch, Hagler landed alot on him before he got the KO, as did SRL obviously.. and so I don't see any way Floyd could even hurt him. Hearns would have a field day, he could just jab past mayweathers guard, even just to the chest... Mayweather has brilliant defense but it wouldn't mean a whole lot against Hearns, who could sit back and attack PBF against the ropes while staying out of range himself.. I honestly think Tommy could break through Mayweathers defense just by using the jab consistently, and by the later rounds he would take total control.

Considering how Mayweather has never been beat and has never really looked close to being beat up I'm suprised at just how a big an underdog he would be against Hearns to most of you.

I'd agree that Hearns' size would be a problem but Mayweather was dwarfed by Corales when those two faught and that was a bigger beat down than Calzaghe Lacy.

I'd give Mayweather a shot against anybody at 147 lbs. Hearns or Leonard at 154 would be too much but at 147 he'd give anybody trouble.

LOL, Floyd is good, but he is no Motor City Cobra. And one on one, it is a horrible style match up for Lil Floyd.

Corrales and Hearns... That's no comparison at all though.. Corrales doesnt even jab.. and he's still much smaller than Hearns, height is the only similarity but Corrales doesn't know how to use it, or just can't.. I mean sure Floyd is great and hasn't been beaten today, but does that mean we should pick him over Hagler as well?? I think Hearns would simply be too much for Floyd, remember 147 is the lowest he ever fought.. and Tommy has to be one of the biggest weltersweights of all time.. He looked trim years later fighting at 175.. PBF would just get jabbed to death, and once he slowed down at all Hearns would jump on him.. I don't think Mayweather could hurt him at all, and I think hearns would seriously damage him. I mean really, Mayweather has beaten some good fighters but noone anywhere near as big as Hearns, noone anywhere near as good, as fast, as powerful... WEll maybe Judah is as fast, but we saw how he was able to land for a few rounds and even hurt Floyd... Hearns would win this one, he had wayyyyy to much power at welterweight.

If PBF is smart he wont fall victim to the pull to keep moving up in weight that Mosely and DLH did.

Thomas Hearns is a proven legend who has fought the best .. He has fought like 7 legends.. Cueves,Leonard,Benitez,Duran,Hagler,Barkley,Hill and then an assortment of other guys.. Floyd has not fought any legends yet! So to discuss this as a fight where Hearns could lose is ridiculous.I think Hearns out jabs Floyd for a few rounds and Floyd would be good at getting away from the right hand for 2 rounds, but then Tommy jab would start to affect Floyd and Floyd would start taking chances in round 3 by stepping in and Tommy would knock him out with the right hand in round 3. This fight is easy to see. Floyd better stick to Baldomir because legends like Hearns knock him out.

Cuevas, Barkley, Benitez, and Hill, are no more legendary than Floyd is, in fact all are considerably lesser fighters with the exception of Benitez in his prime. And he still wasn't a real legend.
