How would Witter beat Cotto?Just asking.
Because Cotto wouldn't be able to deal with Witter's style or power. Witter has a more refined style then someone like Malignaggi and Cotto still gets hit a lot. If Cotto got hit that often against Witter he's going to be knocked outOriginally Posted by El Gamo
Witter has pop and the better whiskers.
Cotto still wins
witter doesnt throw enough punches for him to put cotto in any trouble, He only fights for about 20-30 secs of each round which will also suit cotto who likes a little breather when he can get it.
Witters power is also over rated IMO. people think cos he went 15 (or whatever it was) fights after judah KO'ing everyone that he has power. Tell me out of all them fights 1 single fighter who was anygood?
He couldnt really trouble corley although he caught him flush a few times.
Cotto hurt corley a lot more.
Cotto would win this easily.
Cotto would batter Witter's rib cage for a mid to late round liver shot stoppage, even if the stoppage was a bit premature, IMO Corley wouldn't of lasted the 12 rnds, he was clearly dropped early, and the 2 or 3 knees he took weren't for no reason, he was getting hurt, badly, and IMO if you're taking that many knees that close together and running away, you don't really want to be in the fight
Cotto would thump Witter....no problem.
If anyone is going to beat Miguel they either have to be an awesome boxer with a great chin and good defense or they have to be the toughest SOB in the division
Or Torres on more than 3 weeks preperation.
I fancy Cotto nine times out of ten but wouldnt be shocked at all if Witter sparked him.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Torres put all his power in those punches to the head....Cotto got rocked but kept getting back up. He never should have gotten caught in the first place but Miguel can take a punch. No one can lie about the state of Cotto's chin, when he goes down it's for good reason.
I suspect Miguel's lack of defense will catch up with him but not vs Witter, he's a chump
I agree with you Lyle. It would however have been interesting to see what Torres could do with proper preperation.
I dont like Witter either but he's no chump.
