    The future of Briggs?

A few jabs from Wlad and then a cross... unless Briggs 'does a Rahman'...

He should give Rahman Noodles a shot just so we can keep one of the belts belongin to an American at least for a little while! And by the way how come its pronounced "ROCK-MON" is he like Middle Eastern? If not this route it would be cool to see Briggs fight the big ogre Valuev. I missed the Liakovich fight...was it good?

It was better then any John Ruiz fight I've ever seen Except the Tua one

    The sad thing is..

There was virtually no holding..but the same amount of action

hahaha maybe liakovich should fight ruiz to see who the boringest fighter in boxing is...and the winner can fight briggs! no but in regards to rahman, i do give him some respect in that rahman had NO AMATEUR background. he went straight to pro and KOed a pretty damn good heavyweight champ in lennox lewis. ok yeah it was a lucky one punch KO and lewis wasnt really lewis but still, for a guy with no amateur experience, thats a pretty damned good accomplishment winning the heavyweight belt...from anybody. As for Briggs, his future is bleak. I agree with VD when he said he will lose his first defense. I have never thought much of him and I did NOT have him ahead in the fight where he supposedly "retired" George Foreman. At the end of that fight Briggs was on the ropes bleeding and Foreman was swinging away on him. I had Foreman winning that one because Briggs is dookie compared to some of the champs we've had. Now he is just bulked up, old dookie.

I thought Rahman was good. The first Tua fight the Maskaev fight, never taking advantage of the Lewis win(personally he should have vacated the title when Lennox won the court case and went with the "The people know who the champion is.. I wouldn't give Lewis a shot becauseh e had to go to court and not the ring to get it") The draw with Tua that he won, the draw with Toney that I thought he won, but the second Maskaev fight was his chance. It was a very exciting Heavyweight fight but Rahman threw strategy(and his jab) out the window and payed a heavy price for it. It's sad because Rahman had those opportunities so much and he had talent especially with no amateur backgroung.. but never could fully take advantage of it. Sadly is the sport of boxing you need more then pure talent to get by.

The Horror!!! Ruiz and Lykavitch. Fighting for all the belts. That would be a nightmare. Nobody would stick around long enought to find out who won.

Briggs has a contract to fight Sultan Ibrogimov. I think he will try to avoid this fight, but he will have to retire the belt or fight another belt holder to remain a champion.

i dont know much about this Sultan Ibragimov guy at all...is he pretty tough? and yeah if Ruiz fought Liakovitch no one would stick around to watch it. It would be the boringest of the boring. But who knows maybe their boring styles would conflict so much it might make for an actual cool match up? Either way, that fight should be on Friday Night Fights if anything...

Sultan Ibragimov is unimpressive and Briggs would probably ko him. Neither one apparently does any road work andit would ne a snooooozefest. O the other hand, I see Ray Austin giving Briggs all that he could hadle. Styles make fights.

Ray Austin and Larry Donald are very consistant fighters they would be tough for anyone.

Sultan needs to stick with smaller heavyweights...him vs James Toney would be good

I think Oliver McCall might have a good shot again

As insane as it might sound id like to see Briggs vs Ruiz. (as long as Ruiz ends up on the cavass)

Oh yeah....Briggs would hand Johnny a beat down....he SHOULD be able to beat him but I don't know, Ruiz is crafty.

Sad as it is I bet you MONEY that Evander Holyfield is in line for a title shot if he beats Oquendo....VALUEV needs another name on his record.....and another sad thing is Evander at 75 years old MAY be able to beat him
