    I've seen the fight a million times sheep, I was watching it live. Ok, let me be more literal. Corrales hit Castillo with a huge punch that made Castillo sag on the ropes, if the ropes weren't there he'd have gone done and quite possibly not gotten up, but he was stuck on the ropes. I don't think ricky hatton has one punch power like corrales. I'm not trying to be confrontantional bro, just adding my point of view.

    Ok fair enough, I'm not trying to be confrontational either, just making my point.
    I think Ricky needs to fight one of the Mexican brawlers, if he doesn't get a fight with Castillo...Corrales or Casamayor would be good
    for him as well they could all easily make 140. Any of these three fights would be very entertaining
    Hatton vs. Castillo
    Hatton vs. Corrales
    Hatton vs. Casamayor (even though he's Cuban)

    It's funny though all my sad clicks happen when I mention Hatton losing lol

    IMO the fight is a toss up, it would depend greatly on where the fight takes place. In England Hatton wins any decision, Hatton would be aloud to rough Castillo up more on the inside. In the U.S. Castillo would win a decision, he is a more skilled boxer than Hatton, and in the U.S Hatton would not be allowed to rough house in the inside like he likes to.

    Valid point CC

    In either location I see the fight getting very dirty, and regardless of location JLC would prolly be the one to start it.

    I just don't know...or maybe don't care too much for the pick.

    I'll go with Hatton...because I like him better as a person (from what I've seen & read) than I do Castillo.
    I'm not a particular fan of either guy, BUT I think this would be a hell of a slugfest.
    The reason I picked Castillo is that he's been in there with guys that can hit harder
    at the same workrate as Hatton (Corrales, Paez), but Hatton has never tasted the power
    that Castillo has. Pay particular attention to Corrales - Castillo 2 (link on the beginning
    of this thread) It would look almost the same as that. I also wouldn't really say
    that Castillo is more skilled, I think he is just the tougher guy. Castillo has never been
    officially knocked down he has lost 3 fights because of cuts and 2 got waived off by the ref.
    he has an 87% KO percentage with over 50 wins. JLC will have won titles in 4 weight classes
    if he makes weight for his fight in January.
    You doylem!!! Hatton has tasted the power of kostya Tszyu who hits harder then any of the guys you have mentioned. He's aslo taken some hell of a shots from a real welterweight and not the lightweights that castillo has fought. I also don't see how you can say Corrales has the same workrate as Hatton. Sure he lets his hands go when he's standing in the middle of the ring and i respect him for that. But he doesn't show the same workrate as hatton has shown throuought his career. Corrales can either try to walk ya down or let his hands go. He doesn't seem to do both at the same time. If he did he might have stood a decent chance against mayweather isntead of following him around taking punch after punch.

    Quote me on this Castillo hits harder than Collazo at any weight.

    Think people are judging Hatton to much by the Collazo fight

    At 140 Hatton starts favourite against anyone... barring Mayweather.

    If the Castillo fight happens (fingers crossed) Hatton will come away looking like the relentless arse kicking machine he was pre Collazo.

    agreed for the time being I would put this fight at

    Hatton = -175 = 4/7
    Castillo = +110 = 11/10
    Draw = +1500 = 15/1

    But I would still go with JLC

    At 140 i feel Hatton is to busy and will wear Castillo down, but i like the oods killersheep, i might actully say its a tad closer maybe 8/11 Hatton Evs Castillo. It's a close fight but Hatton is relentless and a guy who has been operating at Lightweight for the most part of his career i feel wont be able to keep Hatton off him for 12 rounds. Castillo is a big guy dont get me wrong but taking shots from a strong 140lber actully the best 140lber at this moment is a different ball game altogether, dont get me wrong Castillo is a great fighter but i see a tko between 10-12 or Ricky winning the decision.

    VD i like your opinion on this fight, it was the funniest thing i have read for weeks

    In defense of my odds, Hatton is a little more favored than 8/11 or favoured as you guys say because of age issues.

    I'll keep the faith and take Hatton in this, one becuase he is much more effective at 140 and 2. because he in naturally bigger then Castillo and they both have similar styles. WOULD BE A GREAT FIGHT though!
