I admit, I haven't seen the fight yet, but Pacman KO rd3 is exaclty what was expected.

Hope you guys enjoyed your 50 dollar "superfight". I will watched my predicted outcome for fee.
You were wrong...the fight was competitive...but Pac just cracked him flush & hard & Morales just couldn't take it.

Watch it for free all you want...but everyone in the Grand Theatre was thrilled with what they paid for.

Good fight. Two champs that did all they good...but all good things come to an end.
I have to disagree with this. I was happy to see the fight because I can't stand Erik Morales, but this was about as one-sided as a fight could possibly be. I think Morales was competitive for about a minute and a half, but it was clear from about halfway through the first round that he wasn't going to be able to hang more than 4-5 rounds max. I agree that he looked like a walking corpse at weigh-in too.

Hmmm...all the Morales fanbois are awfully quiet today. They couldn't wait to tell me I'm wrong BEFORE the fight.

Hurts to know I was RIGHT ON, doesn't it?

I'm not sure you need to be such an ass about it, but I have to you for calling this perfectly. And the being an ass doesn't really bother me either, since I've never liked EM. I predicted Pac by KO as well, but I actually thought Morales would hang a little longer than he did in the second fight. Anyway, cheers for calling it in spite of all the bile you got from people.

Was not a stinker at all, Undercards were bad but BOY the main event had it all action, drama.... These are two great warriors duking it out in the ring it's just that the other was on the decline and Pac is on his way up and still getting better. And I believe Pac really looked like the bigger man for the first time in three contest and may have really given him that additional Pop to hurt Erik early and often.

    I'm right here my man!!!
    Whats good?
You predicted the outcome of a fight right...OK.... your not the 1st or the last. BUT to say that Erik & Pac would participate in a fight and it would be a stinker is absurd.... Those 2 guys there are warrios, I applaud Pac on his performance and look forward to seeing him more, I mean hearing the crowd at the Thomas & Mack for a pslit second I thought the fight was in Manila....

Gotta love the guy and hes earned it... Much love and respect to him and I wish his fans would be more like him....

Agreed. He had NO business being in the ring with Pacman. ESPECIALLY billed as a mega-PPV-fight.
Had morales won the fight you would have said different things. It's so sad that people are always trying to make reasons for their fighters to the point of discrediting the ability of other fighters. Morales said that he intends to knock pacman. Let us take his words for it. Morales trained hard and had he fought a lesser fighter like Guzman or Valero , there could have been a different result.

Take the case of Barrera. When Pacquiao annihilated Barrera, everybody was telling that Barrera is a spent force anyway. But take a look at his achievements after his fight with Pacman. He even has the titles with him right now. His defeat at the hands of Pacman is clearly a sign that Pacman has the ability and is the best fighter in the featherweight. Let us not deprive Pacman the respect he deserves.

I agree and disagree. I definitely enjoyed watching it, but I also really dislike Erik Morales. It was only dramatic in that it was fairly shocking to see Morales get finished that quickly. As far as competitive drama, it was all in the build up. The fight itself was entirely one-sided. It was clear from about a minute and a half in that Pacquiao was going to completely dominate the fight--he was staggering Morales in round 1, and didn't seem remotely bothered by anything that was coming back. He was also about three times faster than Morales. Those weren't things that were going to change, even if the fight had gone longer than three rounds. I mean--you pretty much knew what was going to happen from the opening seconds.

You mean the punches that landed on Pac flush prior to the 3rd knockdown werent dramatic to you?
Morales landed some shots on Pac and had him against the ropes a few times... Those moments were tense regardless who you were rooting for...

good post got to give Pac man credit. I was impressed when he got hit hard and came back with hard punches of his own. However, I do have to voice the fact that despite what Morales said, I have been calling him a shot fighter since before the Pac-Morales I. As a matter of fact I am surprised that he one. I thought that the major reason he won was because he was bigger and also that Pac looked out of balance.

It was clear to me that Morales was shot when he lost the very fight after he won against Pac. He was slower and seemed to get winded.

He looked like what we used to call when I used to compete in 10K races, "the bear jumping on your back". This would happen when we would burn out. I recognized that in Morales and saw it again in Pac II.

Give credit to Pac, it is clear that he is P4P. I like him, I am a fan but it is also true that Morales has been a shot fighter for over a year.

I agree with Violent Bob on this one. Yes, Morales landed a couple shots flush (about 1 for every 4 Manny landed), but Manny didn't ever look hurt by them. Morales, on the other hand, was visibly getting hurt from about a minute in. Put it this way--the punches Manny was landing, and the way Morales was responding, made it look like Manny was definitely KTFO EM before 5 or 6 rounds were up. The punches Morales landed, and the way Manny responded, didn't provoke any such thoughts.

both fighters put their all into it and both fought with courage and with tons of heart, i kind of knew that Morales was going to lose before the first punch was thrown, as soon as the bell sounded he looked too heavy on his feet and i knew that that was going to be a problem, but no excuses Pacquiao is definately one of if not the best Jr Lightweight in the world right now, IMO his best option would be fighting either one of these fighters, Guzman, Barrera, Marquez, or even go up and fight Barrios, Freitas, Chavez, Juan Diaz any of those fights would be great.

This fight was a stick of dynomite! It was short and sweet and both fighters took as good as the gave. Morales is great. Paquiao is greater. This fight was even until the knockdowns. Even after the knockdowns Morales fought valiantly.

Uh, no it wasn't. Morales won about 10 seconds of that fight.
